Hi Kingy's.......when I first saw your van at Berry I was almost gobsmacked......beautiful bondy with a lot of detail inside & out! I loved the colour scheme & the polished 'D' moulds etc... I loved some of the personal touches & inventions I hadn't seen before. I think that the red divider would have looked awesome against the grey paint But with a neutral colour (white) you'll never go wrong........like they say "A new colour change is as good as a holiday) Is the EH going to be next Adam

Yeah I dunno Jeff......I thought that one reason why we drag these old wrecked vans home is to preserve them and display them to the public instead of rotting on some farmers property People get to see these gems in all shapes & sizes & admire how it was done in the yesteryear period. From what I've heard they que up asking question after question & you have to beat them off with a stick I thought we'd rack up 20 vans easy..........I know some people aren't into the show scene but we could make a weekend out of it & still sit around & have a chin wag ..........or go the pub for a while? Retail shopping therepy? Lots to do The NSW/ACT calender seems to be a bit thin.........maybe everyones just doing their own thing ........oh well, as long as everyone's still having fun Adam

Howdy all, I thought I'd begin a new thread here since there has been no reply under 2010 NSW Events. Is anyone interested attending the 2010 Shannons Show n Shine in Canberra in March? You can read a post by Jennison about this event under the above mentioned. 800 cars and us VV'ers get centre stage ......what are we waiting for? We can make a weekend out of it and stay at the White Ibis just 10 mins from the event! I'm sure Jennison will post some more info in the not so distant future..........think about it.......should be a lot of fun. Adam

Yeah....it's each to their own I guess, we're all a good mob. It's better to see a VV restored non-original than to see it floating around at the speedway in a smash up derby Adam

Shane, if Exocet still has that Kennedy for sale you should jump on it.... that is a rare van! And yes it would look spectacular behind the EK........many years from now you might say "I shoulda bought that Kennedy back then" Yes I know Tassie is a hassle but.............
You could even paint it in an emerald metal flake green with the white flash just like the speed boats were back in the 70's! Did you notice that rear jacks on that the Kennedy were designed to look like exaust tips when they were up? They'd look good chromed........ha ha..just trying to plant the seed!
That's one cool van............you could be trippin by this Xmas!!!
Adam
PS: I even have a hallstrom fridge you can have!

Hi all,
Anyone contemplating attending the Wintersun & looking for van park accomodation......we have some good news.
We have booked at a place called Boyd's Bay Holiday Park......pretty much the same distance as Kirra but on the southern side, & no ridiculous over-rated holiday time prices either! $38.00 per night (2 adults + 1 child) & a heated pool with a huge slippery dip.... just the thing after drinking all those beers!
Check out the website, it looks real good, cabins are available also......hasn't been any trouble booking, other friends of ours booked today.
The web is tchp.com.au , then click on Boyd's Bay & scroll down the drop box!
Cheers Adam

Ok Geoff & Jude, it's approaching 6 months since there was any mention about the topless JFK batmobile?
Have you had the minor defects touched up? Any top secret things going on? Were you planning on surprising us all with this 300hp beast? Come on guys........give us something!

That's a great job Humpty.....well done! I still have the same task to look forward to later in the year........do you think a mini roller would have worked better to flatten the calico out, or are the hands easier? Keep up the good work, she looking great.

Yeah it was good to get away again for the weekend, only problem was we couldn't hang around the van to relax because of all the admirers........it's a tough price to pay cruisin around in a VV!!!
I can't understand why idiot's still venture into dangerous surf, (especially when they're not foreigners). We went down to the beach in the arvo (where the guy drowned), & it was too dangerous to swim.......there wasn't one person in the water as far as you could see across the whole beach. And on top of that they venture into the water on dark.......what are they thinking?
Anyway, that's my two bobs worth.......happy vanning everyone!

Hi all,
On Feb 12-14 the Shoalhaven Street Rodders are holding their annual camp out & show n shine at Currarong Beach, just 25-30 mins east of Nowra!
The camp out attracts at least 30 sites.....but there are about 60 powered sites so no worries about missing out, you just turn up!
Friday night is a sausage sizzle/bench session, Saturday morning is a cruise to Huskisson, then a 2 hour dolphin cruise on a glass bottom boat, cruise back & have lunch.
Saturday night is at the local club where they are having a rock n roll disco/band.......kids welcome, plus a courtesy bus is provided even though it's walking distance back to the park.
Sunday morning the hangover's are cured with a pancake breakfast.....then back to the club for the show n shine/swap meet/trophies & more beer!
If anyone wants any further info, reply here or send me a PM.
Cheers kaznadam

Hi all,
Tug in the park (Stanwell Park) is on Feb 7th for all you new south welshmen...........so who's going this year? It's a really great day out and those who have been before will vouch for that!
If the Ticko's are going save a spot for us......we'll bring our VV up this year.......it'd be good to see a display from some of the forum members.
Cheers Adam

Come now humpyboy.........we're not in any competition to out do anyone's resto's (but thanks for the compliment)! We had a vision and a goal. Miss Georgia was supposed to be a four week make over, one thing lead to another & then there was no turning back! Plus everyone who knows me knows that I can be quite fussy when it comes to looks but anyhow..........the end result will be worth it!
She'll get regular use & over time I'm sure she'll suffer some battle scares just as she has before. Everyone's VV is gorgeous and unique, some need a full resto, some don't.........but it's still interesting looking through everyone's van's no matter how pretty or ugly they are!
Now you make sure you finish your's off humpyboy.........it'll look great & it'll give us forum members another read!
Cheers Adam

Nothing wrong with Alice Cooper Reddo........I've got 33 albums! lol
Ok, so when roughly do you think the display will go ahead? We're going to leave on June 8th & head up the New England & join in at the wintersun on Friday. Then head further north & return around July.
If it's around October then we should be ok anyway..........Adam
