The King may have left the building but he will be in Parkes from 9 to 13 Jan for the legendary annual Elvis Festival. So Bert and Flo will be doing the NSW Road Trip - anyone else interested? More vintage vans would be great and there will be Elvis overload - who could possibly say no? We aren't organising anything - just being there.
Starting too to think about Bridgewater Extravaganza number 4. 15 to 17 February 2019 - any suggestions to make it better are always welcome.

See the current edition of Time to Roam magazine for a write up and photos of the Nationals. Apologies to the owners of those vans that were left on the cutting room floor ( editors choice ) Thanks to the team at Time to Roam for their support of the event.

Great to see Johnny so happy after a long journey - is that a baby cap in his hands?

And thanks especially to firefighter - a VV legend and inspiration who couldn't be with us but who remains with us as we travel - see you on the road as we may pass with an acknowledging gesture of those raised fingers on the steering wheel - and safe travels until our paths cross again.

A very special THANK YOU to the oraganisers of The VV Nationals - sorry we couldn't stay longer but what a great week long list of activities. Sensational to see all the wonderful vans and fantastic that Victoria was so well supported with interstate caravans and their enthusiastic owners. Liking the road trip blogs/photos from those who had travelled and will travel home. it was about both the journey and the destination! New and old friends. See you on the road. Safe travels. Looking forward to hearing where we will all meet up again in 2020 and before. Keep Vintage vanning!

Oh just another thought:- Maybe Marcus should have been one of those men that spruiked outside of Boxing Tents at the local show. So if he decides on a change of career maybe side show alley is his "thing". Thanks Frances and to all who came along to make it a great week end - Who's up for bare fisted knuckles ? - we'll bring the tent - roll up, roll up - the Circus is in town - if you couldn't get there come and join us in 2019! 15-17 February.

Sorry to be bothersome with posts. There aren't many sites left apparently at the c. park ( which has 117 ). Given there has been a change of management since last year we are recommending you check your booking with the caravan park, particularly if you booked early, even if deposit paid, no panic intended but best to get the details right 3 weeks out given there appears to be an overwhelming response this year, and a modicum of confusion with some bookings. If you haven't booked do so NOW or you will miss out.

Great weekend and thanks to all who played a part in the organisation. A wonderful get together dinner on Sat. Night and loved to see the Rock 'n Rollers in action on the dance floor. Great lemon rolling too Wal! Is the puzzle done yet ? Pity it was a Holden ! Terrific to see some new vans as well as some well known favourites. We will look forward to getting together next year and hopefully see you all again at Bridgewater in Feb and the Nationals in April.

Jen,
Tell Max he has to think very seriously about his outfit for Geelong Revival - he can borrow but not steal - tell him to bring the saw for hand over - I am only doing Sunday but we can go up together from Anglesea or whatever works - tell him to get his entry in - am hoping Bert will be back on the road by then. Serious competition this year. Hope all well in Ol' Dadswell's

We have been searching for elusive caravan parts as we renovate - have you been too?
Each Saturday Bert and Florence go to Garage Sales to seek them out - sometimes we have alittle win. Whilst renovating Amelie today Florence had an inspiring thought - we actually have a lot of bits and pieces that we have accumulated, somewhat wistfully, in the hope we may use them in future but the reality is they will just sit in our garage. She thought others may have similar bits and pieces that may otherwise not see future use.
Inspiration - Bridgewater Caravan Park " Out of your Garage" Sale !
When you come to Bridgewater for the weekend bring along those bits and pieces that you can part with, set up your stall outside your van on Saturady morning and make your day and someone else's with a sale or two.
Another event to make it a great weekend.

We are very excited about the weekend. We will bring our Christmas tree. Alison's girls are interested in the crafting afternoon and want to enhance the Christmas decorations for our van. Alison is very interested in dressing up in a vintage style for the evening dancing. Marcus has been practicing his vocal range so as to sing some cracking Christmas Carols - his current favourite is " I saw three ships ( come sailing in )" - he is also looking forward to plum pudding and custard. If you want to book in for dinner please do so soon ! ( otherwise Marcus might eat all the pudding ... Or it may not happen at all ) Support the organisers and book early.

Popped out to Bridgewater today to check out how things are traveling. It's still 6 months away but wanted to make sure the new managers were on top of things. 25 or so booked in - Jackie is the new Veronica so if you are ringing to book in then ask for Jackie. We are looking forward to Dadswells and Anglesea before Bridgewater and of course the Nationals after that!
Any Trivia questions for our big trivia night at Bridgewater will be gratefully received....
here's one to start you thinking. "According to their official website in what year was the first ROMA Caravan built ?"
First correct answer by return post will win a bonus point for their team....
Give Jackie a ring and secure your site so as not to be disappointed.
