A brief schedule of arranged things to do if you want to join in:
Friday - BYO BBQ at camp kitchen - with local muso’s to keep you entertained. Bring food, a gold coin donation and a chair.
There will be a vintage coffee van set up near the Camp Kitchen Friday arvo and Saturday and Sunday morning - a short walk for a caffeine fix ! Thanks to Dazzlin Coffee - big effort from them to be there.
Saturday morning - “Out of your Garage”, Garage sales - have a stall at your site if you want to bring things to sell or just browse and buy. Maybe home made produce, crafts and any other goodies as well as ‘secondhand’ stuff. Bring along a mystery item that no-one can identify.
Otherwise relax, catch up with friends and check out the vintage vans.
Saturday 11am - Car Cruise and lunch Car cruise to Inglewood and lunch at the local pub if you wish. Have a look at the vintage and collectables shops while you are there. Classic cars and any other cars more than welcome to join in. Just tag along as we drive around the caravan park.
Friday and Saturday - til 4 - cellar door at Water Wheel Winery in Bridgewater.
Given it’s going to be a bit hot ( but not as hot as last year!) maybe a swim at the caravan park or otherwise at the Loddon weir - downstream from the Park just past the Bridgey pub and walking distance from the Caravan Park. Bring your togs.
All day Saturday ( and Sunday ) Maldon antiques and collectables fair - a little further afield.
Saturday night- Dinner and BINGO for BOGANS in the beer garden at the Bridgewater on Loddon Pub. Let your hair down and your inner Bogan shine. No need to organise a team - it’s every bogan for themselves. Get the flannie out, wash the mullet and dress up for great prizes, bingo and games. 100% fun, 110% Bogan. Dinner from 6 - eyes down at 7 sharp. There will be the usual Raffle at half time so donations for same always very welcome. We don’t ask much of you for the weekend but a donation for the raffle is appreciated. Drop them in at our site. Proceeds go to your ‘arrival gift’ next year. No need to book with the Pub.
Sunday -relax or visit country markets at Talbot, Castlemaine Bazaar or Bendigo Showgrounds. Afternoon music from the guys again at the CP if you just want to relax at home base.
A reminder, as ever - this is not a public event, it is not a caravan show/exhibition - guests and visitors of attendees are required to check in at the office. Given it’s for Vintage Vans ( that’s the whole idea really), it will not be possible to accommodate post 1980 vans ( give or take a year or two ) at the CV Park this weekend.

Don’t forget that Saturday morning is “Out of your Garage” Garage Sales. Set up a stall outside your van and bring some things you want to get out of the garage. Or browse to buy that thing that has been in someone else’s garage that you really really need. We will be having a “ what’s the mystery object” event this year. have you found/own a thing that no-one else will be able to identify? A WTF is that, sort of thing……Bring it along - prizes for the objects that no-one can identify and prizes for those who can identify objects first. 🙄🤷🏾♂️🫦🦄

It’s time to start preparing for Bridgewater again - not too far away now. If you haven’t paid your deposit then you need to contact the CV Park asap and let them know if you are going otherwise your site will be reallocated. There are some available spots due to cancellations so if you know anyone that may want to attend then have them contact the Park. A reminder for Saturday night - it will be BINGO for Bogans so time to let your inner Bogan shine. Great prizes, half time raffle of donated things ( from you ) and a lot of fun, prizes, bogan trivia and bingo. Dress up, find the moccies, and wash that mullet! 100% fun, 110% Bogan. No need to book at the pub.

Hey, nice to hear from you Coronet and looking forward to Bridgewater in Feb. again. There was some confusion about deposit dates - new manager and new system 😩 Rhonda and Darren are still there so we will be well looked after again on the weekend. I thin maybe the 17 Nov is the date but best get in early or ring them. Bring your best Bogan for Bingo on Sat. Night……..

Fishy Pub is a great example of an Art Deco pub where you wouldn’t expect to find one. Great part of the World - and a ‘Gatha boy would know. Great week end awaits.

Some things stay the same and some things change.
There is change in the wind.🌪🌬 We will all be back at Bridgewater again in 2024 on the 3rd weekend in Feb. but we have decided to change it up a little.
We have decided to give trivia a break and replace Saturday night entertainment at the Bridgewater Hotel with a different concept…..
Be afraid, be very afraid……or be BOGAN… bring your mullet 🐟🧔🏽♀️
Look out …it’s BB at the BH

Quick update You should have received an invoice by email in the last couple of days if you have a booking. Park fees must be paid in full by 27 January to confirm your site - there is a long wait list so if there is non payment then sites will be reallocated. If you did not get an email and thought you should have then I suggest you email the Bridgewater Caravan Park.

Happy New Year to all. WOW - how the time has flown and we are now only about 6 weeks away.
We are still on schedule for this years meet at Bridgewater Caravan Park. 17 - 19 February and as many days either side as you might choose.
It’s been a bit of a tough year in Bridgewater following the town flood which closed the CV Park for some time and flood water went through the pub and Main Street and surrounds. We are hoping you will be mindful of this and be able to support the local businesses through the weekend as they will be glad of your support.
If you are still seeking a site please ring Rhonda at the CV Park- she and Darren are doing their best to fit as many as possible in. If you have friends with a site and they are prepared to share then that’s probably ok too. Some of the sites are large enough to accommodate two vans - again, please speak to Rhonda about that.
A brief schedule of arranged things to do if you want to join in:
Friday - BYO BBQ at camp kitchen - wine tasting and nibbles and hopefully some local music too.
Saturday - relax, “out of your Garage”, Garage sale at your site if you want to bring things to sell or just browse and buy. Car run to Inglewood pub and collectable shops Saturday afternoon for all the classic and tow cars that want to partake.
Saturday and Sunday- Maldon antiques and collectables fair a little further afield.
Saturday night- Dinner and TRIVIA in the beer garden at the Bridgewater on Loddon Pub - huge raffle again at half time so donations for same, however small, very welcome. NO NEED TO BOOK with the Pub. Further details to follow. The prestigious BWVC Trivia Cup will again be up for grabs.
Sunday -relax or visit markets at Talbot, Maldon, Castlemaine Bazaar or Bendigo Showgrounds. Late check out if you are leaving Sunday.
A reminder - this is not a public event, it is not a caravan show/exhibition - guests and visitors of attendees are required to register at the office. It will not be possible to accommodate post 1980s vans at the CV Park this weekend.
Look forward to seeing you there, as we are looking forward to meeting old and new friends for what will be the 8th year of this get together.
There is more information at the Facebook site. If you aren’t already a member of the group - join us on Facebook - “Bridgewater Vintage Caravan weekend”.

Thanks to everyone who made the weekend another great one👍. Next year will be the third weekend in Feb. as always.
Thanks to everyone who put up the great photos on the Facebook page ( Bridgewater Vintage Caravan Weekend ) Join and check them out.
We will try and make some needed changes for next year. The cruise went well so any ideas on what we can do next year as far as another one goes and a possible destination would be great and we will do it again 🚘 - new ideas are always welcomed.💡
If you weren’t there this year to book in again for next year then please contact the Park now - we would love to get as many vintage vanners there next year as possible so we are working hard to maximise the available sites. I know it was disappointing for many that you couldn’t get a site, so it was disappointing for us to see that there were a number of modern vans taking up sites this year. As it is a Vintage Van weekend we want to get as many enthusiasts there with their vintage vans - so that means that no post 1980 vans will be permitted next year. There are other caravan parks in the area that friends/on-lookers etc. can use to say at with their modern white boxes. Bookings will only be taken for vintage vans and if you turn up with a modern white box next year expect to be turned away even if you have a booking. It is a condition of booking that you bring a Vintage ( pre 1980s) van. Can’t really make that any clearer. Be aware that it might only be the waiting list that is available given a lot of demand.
Regards and hope to see you before next year. Travel safely. ❤️

I will admit the pic of the Baravan had me going. Where, exactly, is the door? I googled other Baravan photos and saw that the doors are quite hard to see when closed and are down towards the back. I still can't see it quite frankly but I'll go on trust that it has one. But my main reason for commenting is to thank you most sincerely for posting these pics. I am thoroughly enjoying them. Thank you. Jim It’s for sale it anyone is interested.
