Pumped up the tyres and still wobbling - popped into Kyabram on our way back from Deniliquin with Flicka and picked up some vintage sway bars to try out - thanks for the guidance Don - work in progress. Short draw bar is probably the issue ....and cranky old Falcon. Hope you and Dona R well - thx again.

We are looking forward to Anglesea for early Christmas in November and Ol' Dadswells Bridge in September before that - have had a few 'towing issues' with Felicity - any advice about speed wobbles at 80 with a 10 ft van ? We are thinking oft springs and not enough forward weight? Looking forward to seeing you for Trivia at Bridgey in Feba bring your dogs, ahead of the not so dog friendly Nationals in Wang. Lol. We'll be at all of those....

Very similar to ours. We have a 66 but it's smaller than yours ( 11ft ) - has the same distinctive front wrap around Windows and wide back window. Regards

Great photos Leonie and thanks for sharing those. If any one else has some then post them please. We would like to see some more πΎ Weather was perfectβοΈ Caravan Park just the π Knees. Great to see 50+ vans in a fantastic setting - Bridgey is ideal - maybe we need to do that again next year ? Lol
Alison and Bert will nail down a date for 2018 and you can then start booking in.
Any constructive criticism or ideas for next year more than welcome. What would you like to do/see etc. ?
Maybe those who are contemplating a Nationals venue should look at Bridgey in Vic as a possibility ?
Bridgey would be perfect ( assuming some might contemplate a 'once in a lifetime journey' to 'Mexico ' slightly out of the comfort/cyclone zone - hahaha. π

We were at Bridgey today just finalising the arrangements and YES, there are still sites available - ring Veronica on 03 5437 3086 - there have been some changes - very excited we have an Italian Food van on site in addition to Betty and Ruby's Coffee van, trivia on site rather at the pub but it promises to be a great night by the river. Our SA friends and NSW friends are gearing up as is our special guest from across the 'ditch' - nice to have an ANZUS rep. Unfortunately OH&S and road rules, Council rules etc etc etc. preclude the backing competition ( I know yo will be able to relate to Council concerns Frances of Quennscliffe !!) but we will look forward to great weather by the river and your company - which is always great.

Thanks for joining us Little Lucy ! A big trip and it will be great to see you. Now 60+ bookings but the Park is still holding some spots until late Jan so it's not too late to book in. Tell your friends and spread the word. We are suggesting you contact the caravan park direct now to make that booking. Veronica at the park will organise you - she is a gem.

Bridgewater February 2017 We have reserved a number of sites but after 1 Nov. we can't guarantee a space. We anticipate there will be late booking options ... But do you want to take that risk. There will be trivia at the pub and rock and roll on Sat night. The same week end as last year so Maldon Collectable fair is on and Inglewood is just down the road with lots of secondhand shopping. There will be prizes - best displayed van, best van owners in vintage costumes, oldest van, quirkiest van and many more. We had over 70 vans at Baringhup ( Maldon ) last Feb and we are hoping to do one better this year. But the most sought after prize will be the reintroduction of the " Australian National Caravan Parking Competition" Check out the past winners on Facebook by googling " petrolicious caravan" and click on the first search result - watch the video of the vintage car with caravan .. Have you got the nerve , speed and accuracy to take home this prestigious award? How to book: Ring Alison on 0419 429 586 and she will give you a site number - the ring the caravan park and pay your deposit - you are there! www.bridgewaterpubliccaravanpark.com.au/bookings/

Thanks for the invite. Unfortunately we have prior plans but Inglewood w/e is great and lots of secondhand/collectables shops to browse in, in addition to the other things that come together on the weekend. Enjoy Central Victoria! Just up the road from Bendigo.

Great to hear preparations are all in order and it will be terrific to have some live Sat. Night music in front of the open fire. I like two sorts the of music - Country and ......Western ........... that's the first Dad joke right there ! I hope you have been storing them up Max ( only new ones count ) and looking forward to another visit. Safe travels all.
Ps Max might need you to have a look at the accelerator cable again. Bert still going strong but needs some adjustment I think - an additional sinker might do it.

There is a large grassed area where vans can be parked behind the Main Street for o/night use at no cost but there is no power and public toilet facilities do not include showers.

I look pretty good in a dress but alas I cant get there. Sorry we cant get our vans to what will be a great event. Alison hopefully will pop in and hand out some flyers for Bridgewater in Feb. Would love to have seen the vans but Bert will be home as the driver is in Tasmania. Keep Bridgewater in mind if you havent booked yet. Have a good w/e.
