Pretty rare & sort after these JFK Lincolns..mmm...460...mmm..RHD mmm.....ragtop....mmm...suicide doors...mmm....LL numberplates. Tell us..............was it an exeptional bargain, this one is definetly unique!
One thing true, you'll be both cruising down the Cruizville Highway in comfort & style, probably got an autolite carby on it, get this tuned & she'll purrr for a lot longer between drink stops!

Hope its finished by next week so I can see the pics............lol

That's one's a '58 Don R, basically there was the Royal, the Custom Royal, the Coronet & then the very rare D500 at the top.
I used to own a rare '56 pink & grey Dodge Custom Royal complete with under dash record player! These were the first of the fins & wouldn't you know it, Chevrolet stole Chryslers look & put them on their cars the following year on the '57 Chevs!
Side on you couldn't tell the difference, when I was at the Summernats in the early '90's cruising around everyone was chanting with their thumbs up "Go the Chevies"
Anyway................nice car, hope I didn't deviate too much from this thread!

The lengths that people will go to just to entertain us with great stories on this site, I mean camping out in near snow conditions!
Well done guys & girls, what a great xmas dinner, hope you all had powered sites to keep those heaters burning, & watch out for that Santa, he looks like he was on a lot of crack..................

Here is a couple of pics ST, not real good as I took them inside tonight & need to be done outside in the light. They look stainless, not chrome with a saw like bent edge to prevent them from reversing out of position, they measure 40mm OD & 27mm ID.................Adam PS: They look a bit rusty in the pics but they are not, they are very nice & only need a polish!

ST, I didn't even unwrap the vents, John told me they were water filters & I didn't give it any more thought until I saw your post!
I kept them with the water filler neck, theres about seven or eight of them but you can have them for free as I'm almost certain I won't need them.
They have stamped on the back of them "Eyelets Pty Ltd Melbourne"

Hi all, Had some U-bolts made up & lowered the Quest with two inch lowering blocks, I think it looks suttle & an improvement to the overall appearance. Hopefully have some nice shiney hubcaps on it next week.................... Before........................ After........................

Onya Reddo, doof doof's & home boys should be barred from these events, I've never seen anyone impressed apart from themselves by their antics ever! Nothing is sacred anymore, there are enthusiasts & then there are attention seekers.
You did a good job keeping us on the map & showing everyone just what it's all about, if the doof doof's had just walked away from their 'stereo's on wheels' they may have noticed what was really going on, & just maybe.............admired the cars.
Looks like this might be the new Wintersun!!!!
Great stuff Reddo......Adam

CQ, why don't you go back & look at our Quest in members photo album? I know everyone has there favourite paint and application method, but as you all know we used polyurethane primer & paint.
You can only mix it up to 10% thin so you'll need 8lts of top coat, & 4ltrs of primer, (don't listen to what they say). This combination stretches & is designed for fibreglass, beautiful tough, high gloss finish.
Now I reckon you could roller this stuff on outside, try an inconspicuous place first & see how it looks.
If you get serious, then I recommend taping from the roof line down & do the roof first as it's big project painting a VV.
Cheers Adam

Hi all,
Looking at buying some vintage tail lights for Lil Hampton but I have a question!
Can the number plate be mounted on the left hand side or does it have to mount on the right?
I'm asking this as the clear part of the lense is designed for left side only.
Cheers Adam.

Actually just in case no body knew it, 'The Love Shack' & the associated words down both sides are from the song by the same name performed by the B-52's.
I got me a Chrysler that seats about 20, so hurry up and bring you juke box money..................................................................

Yes Retro 1, I'll wish you good luck & I'm sure you guys will continue to do a great job, and like yourself I like the site the way it is, no need to reinvent the wheel here!
Some one told me once "We can't change the past, but we have the power to change tommorrow" Thats why I knocked a hole through my garage wall last weekend cause I didn't do it the day before, so I had the power to do it the following day!
Ended up with a good result actually & I acheived lots in that day, Lil Hampton has a bed to sleep in, soon she'll have water via a copper water tank I bought which fits under the seat, & won a heap of pre-war cylinder lights with curved glass etc on ezyway!
Anyway, if you've got a plan you rarely go wrong, keep up the fantastic work that you are doing boys & girls, we appreciate it!

Some good pics there JBJ, Lucille looks awesome! It would have been a great sight to see all the VV's travelling in convoy in the cruise!
Yeah I know JBJ we're all about vanning, but wouldn't it be ok to sneak a few car pics in Vintage tow cars or Whatever? After all, you can't have a horse without a carriage!
