Hi Richard, the only info that we can add is what we were told when we purchased it. The lady that it was built for had a family member, maybe a brother or an uncle, that worked for H Church and Son who were furniture manufacturers, and it was built as a one off of design for her. That might explain why the interior finish , although unique in design, did not look like the same quality as the one in the add.

At the risk of getting howled down, I don't think visitors to this site will appreciate the picture. I am not enjoying seeing it everytime I log on either. I agree ,but might be funny if you know the characters , No, it,s not Kris.

Hi, I have a concern that this Forum is going the way of the moronic facebook & twitter, where people bleed their heart over trivial crap. After all the Forum is meant to be about Vintage Caravans & related stuff, not the type of crap that seems to constitute Facebook & twitter I also believe we wont see the same moderators back unfortunately. Come on Mark, you set this saga up, so why not tell us supporters what you are intending to do. Its Australian to be up front & honest. JBJ

What a great tour, makes me want to go visit some more places, even ones nearby that I didn't know existed. Haven't been on that gravel road, have been on most others across from Omeo, but have been on some 'tracks' far worse from Biggera through to Corryong, some ending up in farmers back paddocks, a couple of gates, & back onto the main road again. Great to see those who can get out & enjoy the special brand of vanning we do, & the atmosphere that goes with it. Thanks for the photos & the good story. ST Hiya ST, the alleged road we used was Benambra to Corryong , and there are no doubt worse tracks around but this was shown as a road in good condition and we weren't playing 4wd,simply caravanning in old cars and vans. But we made it in one piece ,and everywhere else we went we had a ball and I reckon it's time you put one of your Don's together and joined in on the next one .....regards, Col.

Glad to hear you guys had a good time! However, I don’t understand why some would travel approximately the same distance to participate in a tour of so few numbers as they would’ve to attend the Broken Hill Nationals They missed out on what was an excellent event . Mark ....no we didn't, we had possibly the best time ever that could be had in a convoy of vintage vans......stunning scenery, great company, magic campgrounds ( dunno how Reddo finds them). A full week of touring in the vans and old cars does it for me!

Keith SA on the Dukes Hwy. .....apparently yes.....tho it looks like Reddo's off and running in a different direction in his capacity as informal prez. of the "Royal Society of Prevention of cruelty to Gland Rovers"......( waste of time, but he's happy) , and has forgotten to note your correct i.d. of the said landy on a stick.....means then that you are it for the next one, congrats!

Wow Reddo....you're getting better at that spelling thing ....and yep, Kelsey Hayes made them for Ford, they are a U.S. company and the wheels are to suit V8 Fords from 1940 through 1948 ,and also the pickup trucks from the same era ....and like the Redman sez, get them sandblasted to get all the rust off. Wire brushing only polishes the top of the rust ,doesn't get down into the pits and just gives you a false sense of security as the rust is still there and still working away ....same with all the instant brush on fixes like POR15,etc....costs you a bunch of dough and you think it's all fixed ,but it is still beavering away under the shiny black.....on that happy note, G'night!

Hi, I've found that Spares Galore in Melbourne generally have good stock Of NOS & used pommie lights & bits. 03 9758 3644 Generally reasonably priced I believe from experience in past purchases from them. As Reddo said, the lights he used are probabably 57/58/59 vanguard. But I have found that it is possible with Spares Galore to make contact with someone there, then email that person a picture of what you want. I then ring back after a couple of days, while it is fresh in their mind, & nearly always find what I was looking for, & get on a good friendly basis with the sales person.I also believe its by far the best to try to buy using personal contact using old fashioned telephone contact mixed with polite good manners, rather than the totally impersonal texting or ebay enquiries. Maybe thats why I generally find what I am trying to buy , as against wondering why no one wants to reply to me because I typed one letter of the part number or description out of sequence. JBJ ....cross them off your list Dennis ,they closed a while back and much of their stock was scrapped. Some of it went to Auto Surplus in Mitcham ,so it might be worth trying them in future ,cheers and I hope this post works......

....hi reddo,I tried to answer you but once again this crappy site lost the post when I previewed it....note to administrators.....this "new"format is irritating in the extreme and must have some bearing upon the lack of activity here. I've lost enthusiasm for posting as a result ,I'm sure I'm not the only one.....
