The meal was worth the money and the auction helps subsidise the run and also help charities in town Last time we walked back to the caravan park(not far). Staying on Monday night sounds good too . John

Hey Andrew. It goes from the 22nd to 25th of April. I reckon we had a good spot last year on the "back straight". Good posi to sit and watch all the cruisers going by. One thought I had was maybe we could have our own Saturday night gig in the park. Last year we all got dressed up ready to party but the auction dragged on so long everyone sort of lost the mood... Just an idea. Dont want to upset the organisers though because they do an excellent job otherwise. We will be there for sure. Cheers John and Dianne.

Hey Reddo. I am on another car forum that is full of good information and opinions. There are some real stirrers on there and like them or hate them it is part of the whole internet thing. Trouble is the administrators seem to be a bit too quick to ban them . Now that forum has its own "elite" secret section (they voted me on to it but I dont bother with it) and they talk about things in private away from the main forum. And now they have there own facebook site to talk even more crap. Its all a bit too much. I would hate to see this great forum go down the same way. I think some people need to get over it and have laugh instead of getting too serious !!! Cheers John

The upper field has limited power (lots of piggy back plugs ) and the lower field down by the creek doesn't have power. Nice shady spot though.

Hi guys. Got back from another great weekend at Canungra. Big thanks to all the organisers and helpers. The Saturday night meal was excellent and we all had a lot of laughs with the trivia game. It was good to meet new forum members and see a big variety of vans. Im sure there will be photos put on here soon. Just be prepared . We had to witness the "naked chef" . Some kids will be scarred for life . Ha Ha..... Thanks again . John ,Dianne and Shaina.

Short sleep and then up early to drive down to Canungra. Bad timing but cant be helped. Look forward to catching up. Cheers John and Dianne

Just got back from Nanango after a trouble free trip. Friday night was a bit cold and breezey. We went into town to pickup pizza and returned to find we were locked out of the showgrounds. We finally convinced the gate gestapo to let us in after begging and pleading. Anyway it was good to catch up with friends and quite a few new vanners we hadnt met. Good to see Di and new partner Gary bring the new Propert. ( We want to build one). Markets were huge Saturday morning and then we were invited to put some of our old cars in the local festival parade which was fun. Saturday night was relaxing sitting around checking out the different vans and a few drinks. Sunday morning the expected massive swap meet was a bit of a fizzer. Maybe the doubtful weather put people off. The sun came out and we got burnt walking around the car show that wasnt too bad. Thanks Rod for organising the camping, we had fun . Cheers John and Dianne.

Hey Obe and Lyn. Sounds like its getting TOO hard. I reckon a big part of camping is cooking the meals. We are quite happy to help with a group cooking thing like last year .Seemed to work well and was a great meal. Just my opinion. Cheers John

Our friend Robyn is rebuilding her ten foot 1960s van and needs to find some of the fine diamond pattern sheeting for the outside. Does anyone know where to get some.?? Even second hand would do. Cheers John

Niiiice !! I like the colours. We have a Delray coupe that I am painting at the moment ( candy orange and black 2 tone) ,400 smallblock etc. Have you put a tow bar on it yet ? I made my own because I couldnt find one and I guess they would have mounted off the bar brackets which would be a bit too bulky looking for me. I welded a cross bar at the end of the chassis rails with the Hayman Reece style box so I can remove the tow bar. Just an idea .
