Hi S&J. Great van to restore. Perhaps go with wheels/lights from a vehicle of the build year. gordo

Hi Bob&Jacqui. The street side roofing was done a few years ago & is in good nick. However there is no sisalation under the tin.At a later date this will happen. The creek side needs to be replaced in total having been only patch sheeted through the years thereby allowing rain to drip through rusted areas & screw holes. There is an upside to it - great Lysatt imperial measurement orb logos!! These I`m keeping for another idea.Once the roof is done the front roller shutter door is going & is being replaced with a sliding barn door that currently forms part of the double garage rear wall (opposite front entrance landing at end of driveway).I already have a window to refit there giving boundless light into. The original cascade sign will then be reinstated above barn door.

Evening all.Well finally got internet & my media room set up in what was the original office today. Nothing major happening other than the incessant rain which has meant a new roof (some 30m just on one side alone!) can`t be fitted until the sun comes out.In the meantime most of my furniture is stacked on the driveway side.Minor renovation to bathroom by slicing a metre off its 4m length giving me a 1m x 2m wide alcove to slot a kitchen dresser into.New wiring/power points/light fitting to 3 bedrooms/dining/laundry/bathroom & a triple to kitchen which allowed me to add ali industrial shades to it,the dining & the bedrooms.Looks & works great.Dear old teardrop is happily ensconssed in its own 8m square shed - that's the weatherboard section you see in one of Bob&Jacquis pictures elsewhere.Gotta say I`m pretty impressed with how things are going otherwise. Great people/food/prices. gordo

Gday Brent.I would think ringing Toll would be the way to go.However as for me - 3 x 20 footers packed/loaded/delivered/unloaded was just shy of 20K through my removals company in Sydney > Toll Melbourne > Burnie > then roaded > Q/town via Sydney removal companys partners.Absolutely first class service from all concerned. No issues whatsoever. Oh yes,Toll own their own cargo vessels.Forget the ferry. gordo

To turn the Mayfair into a coffee machine!! One can never really predict what happens when you sell anything whether its for money or whatever. For me personally this is just pure lunacy. Sacrilege even. This isn`t just any ordinary vintage caravan.

Well I got back here Monday morning 12 hours later than expected. No thanks to Madonna airlines - you know the song,Like a v.....Slept in Tullamarine airport Sunday night. Another story. The removalists turned up Wednesday 11am & were finished unloading by 3pm.Went like clockwork. Turns out the 2 containers were shipped on Tolls own cargo ship not the Ferry. Got onto a local sparky & he newly wired up 3 bedrooms with lights & 2 double power points in each room/new kitchen/dining/porch lights/switches.400 bucks. Will implement 3 lounge lights/3 double power points & 2 double power points in kitchen when I finally move in for the same cost. Plus add smoke alarm. Can`t argue with that.Had a brilliant time meeting a swag of locals as I stayed at the Railway Hotel.Mine host Darren drives Villain,a Studie pick-up rat rod.Tying up a couple of loose ends here but seems end of the month should be the final trip. gordo
