My two cents worth regarding the boxes - BEATALL - Probably of NZ origins & produced by Nestle/Anglo Swiss Condensed Milk Co.Early 1930s. Main retailer - Star Stores Wellington NZ. NURSER - (Possibly 1800s) Gail Borden Brand & sold through Parr & Bergin Pueblo Colorado USA.

Gday Brett. So what`s your grand plan? To retain current shape or reinstate its former style? Either way you have the bones for a great project.

Hi. Some possible solutions from a retired automotive detailer.... (1) No-Vac is a aerosol spray.(2) Bosistos Eucalyptus aerosol spray. (3) Any Vanilla fragranced Fridge spray.(4) Cuddly brand Fabric Conditioner - the type that comes in a plastic pillow (about size of sausage roll) & whatever fragrance you like.Do NOT pierce/open...just hide one or more under bed/s,bottom of wardrobes, behind fridge.I keep one of these on the toilet window sill at home. After 6/9 months it gets used in washing machine & i put out another on sill. Can be used in car boot or under car seats to keep car smelling fresh also. The No-Vac is great for keeping your car air-conditioner smelling fresh too. Switch on aircon to LOW & turn dash vents to 'fresh air position'.Close all doors/windows.Spray liberal amount of No-Vac where your fresh air vents are under your windscreen outside. It will froth up but dissipate.Run it for about a minute.Just make sure the next time you switch the air-con on the dash vents aren`t facing you directly first off just in case froth has liquified & it sprays your face. cheers

Good looking van Dartweb. You`ll have fun polishing it....or not. Be worth it in the end. Autosol or Purple seem to be the polishing brands used. You`re going to get black & grubby from doing it though. My take on it (and this is only my way as looking at your pics) mag wheel cleaner sprayed on & pressure wash off once foaming is seen.Apply polish over a metre square area at a time & machine buff. A word of warning - mag wheel cleaner is a nasty product being caustic it can cause irritation if not used correctly - rubber gloves/goggles.A number of members have buffed their vans without using the mag wheel cleaner & returned a beaut finish. As a former 30 years detailing veteran i`ve used Autosol. My choice though would be Purple.

Hi & welcome. Pictures speak a thousand words....like the side/front/rear profile....numbers/letters welded on the draw bar....perhaps there are some pencil/pen scribbles under drawers/cupboard doors/under table etc.....then some one might know just what your `van is.

My teardrop had a skinny timber tow rail shrouded in ugly angle added to & modified through the years.(pics in DHL/Teardrops) It also had angle supports welded to it & bolted underneath onto the timber chassis rails. The steel weighed a ton.The rail was all but rotted through. I elected to run a new 12` length from rear to front at 4" square.I then slipped 3` length of channel over it (from hitch) & welded a 2"x 2" x 3/8" angle each side & bolted under using the existing holes. It will never break, buckle or bend.Having said that regs differ from state to state & it maybe possible for you to use as such being original fitment & rego on Special Interest/Historic plates.
