Gday Greedy.Size does matter! Depends on how many mouths to feed & the size of the waffle iron. 1 3/4 cups Plain flour, tablespoon of Baking powder, same amount of Sugar,250g butter, pinch or so of Salt,3 Eggs & 1 1/2 cups of Milk. Preheat the Waffle iron.Whisk the flour, baking powder, sugar & salt etc in a large bowl. Seperate the white from the yokes & beat in seperate bowl. Add the rest of the ingredients & mix in well. Pour in the mix covering maybe 3/4 of the waffle iron.Close lid & should cook within 2minutes or so.Normally once you see steam exiting they should be about done.Best to get a nice golden colour. The iron i have is around 8" accross. Depending on your bravery you can add other fillings like grated cheese, challotts, pre cooked mince &/or rice as an example.Store cooked waffles flat not stacked. gordon

Common Sense fasteners are a positive locking device having in most cases a spring mechanism to hold the rotating finger button in place via a slightly indented/impressed bevel. They were originally designed for the (horse) carriage industry to keep the canvas curtains taut & in place. As the automotive industry developed they too found use in open-air vehicles (side curtains/canvas roofs) as well as military, marine & leather industry applications. gordon

Hi Kaybee. Great pics & story. You struck gold by the looks of things. As for the "no idea what it is exactly" - looks like it was a tiller converted to use as electric (petrol) eel? gordon

Hi & welcome Jlorro. In our Technical section you will see some suppliers listed. It is highly unlikely you`ll be able to get the same diamond pattern as you have pictured.Manufacturing of that design ceased some years ago. Then of course you need the same profile.Best bet after you scanned the Tech sec is to look out for a damaged van or maybe a second hand scrap yard. gordon

Next clues: As a lad i had worked with a variety of animals but not as in a circus. As a young adult i was admired & at times admonished by my peers for my dogged approach to my duties.
