G'day All. Due to popular demand Canungra Sport & Recreation Reserve is back on the drawing board. Any-one who missed the last one will now have the opportunity to be part of this week-end. Last year we had a xmas in November theme which went down well, The question is do we want to do the same ......if so that's great let us know your thought's. The date for this week-end would be November 21 & 22......But this will need to be confirmed ( I will phone caretakers Pat & Ian ) Things you can do at Canungra are....Bring your dog, Have a camp fire, Power but bring a long lead, Toilet & Showers, Have a dip in the water hole or visit the many attraction's in the area. Regards dosse.

Hi Dosse,
Just had a proper look at my calendar. Your date proposed is the weekend after the Yamba rod run, which a few of us SE queenslanders always attend.
Could it be put back a week or so without causing any problems??
Santa 28A, Anglia 46, & us always go to Yamba, & generally make a 3 day or more run of it.
I can manage if it cant be changed, but I cant speak for the others.

Hi All VVers This sounds good and we should be home by then from the trip in the nothern and western Q'ld area we are now on (Olympic safari). As you can well imagine we still adding to our Olympic register. Off on the w/e to meet a new owner in Charters Towers and back to Townsville to travel onto ATOG country (we had better tell him to get the red carpet out for our visit ). We are having a great time meeting Olympic owners and others, such as the builders of the Gracemur Sunliners. Cheers boblor

G'day Des & Kel Great to here that you may be able to join us at Canungra......The date has been set and you will not need to book as the site can handle more vans than we have in our group. Children are very welcome and yes Children have come on some of our week-ends away and there has been no problems, We are a family group and I am sure I speak for the whole group when I say that we encourage the whole family to participate in our get-togethers. As for child friendly.... there is a water hole and creek near by .....so any one with small children would need to be mindful of this. Regards dosse.

Thanks Dosse but they're lost out in the bush somewhere near Quilpee (is that how you spell it?) On their way to the Birdsville races. I haven't spoken to them in a few days as the phone receptions poor wherever they are. No doubt they'll be having some fun and plenty of happy hours wherever they are. I'll have my daughter with me this time mate, looking forward to a happy hour or two myself.

Hello one and all, Sorry I could only make it to the last getitogether on the last day on the scooter but we will be in to the Canungra weekend with you. How do we reserve a space, through you David or can we ring the Park direct and if so what is their name and number? The Austin is rearing to go and so are we(I maybe?). Hear from you soon, Paul and Yoko

G'day All. Well the time has come to start to think about our Xmas in November at Canungra.....This week-end was an enormous success last year and looks to be a repeat.....not because of the location...but because of the great mix of Vintage Van folk we now call our family. This week-end is open to all that would like to attend....so if you are looking for an excuse ( As if you need an excuse to come to Queensland) this could be the opportunity to share our hobby.....a meal....and maybe a drink. If you have not indicated that you are coming .....this would be a good time to do so as we need to know for the saturday night meal......more about this later. Regards dosse.
