Hi Ilse and David. We do not own a camp oven so we thought perhaps we could buy the bread rolls for Sunday brunch, same as last year.
We would need to know do we order them from the local bakery cannot remember how we got them last year?
cheers Sue

G'day Sue Ilse said that is a good idea......not certain if Trish pre-orded or not . Here is the bakery number if you would like to look into it. ( Flessers bakery Christie st Canungra 0755435382) So far I have 35 vans confirmed...... but I think more will come, This will give some idea of the Numbers. Regards dosse

Hi all, Thanks for the great response to what to bring. There are a number of people who have indicated that they are coming but have not as yet let us know what they are bringing, as well as some who are waiting to hear what is still needed...so this is for you guys. We have a total of 35 vans and still counting (approx 75 people). So far we have 10 roasts, 2 chickens, 2 kg drumsticks & some ham....do we need any more meat? We have only 1 salad, 1 fruit platter, 1 cheese platter, so more of these would be great, or maybe some savouries/dips, nuts, (WATERMELON please ) etc We have Xmas pudding with custard, rum balls, white Xmas, pavlova, cheese cake & slices for sweets so far. Extra disposable plates/bowls/cups/cutlery would be good as I'm not sure how much we will have. There are 5 people who have indicated that they are bringing firewood, so we should be right. Please let us know as soon as possible what you will be bringing, as there are only 13 sleeps to go. ;D Regards, Ilse

Hi Ilse,
Sylvia makes a yummy egg and potato salad, plus a simple colslaw, so we will make a large batch of each, on the Friday when we get up there.
As for plates and cutlery, would it not be easier if people just grabbed theirs from their vans? Also less rubbish ;D
Cheers, Ron

Hi Ilse,
Just had a look at some of the costings of buying, say 2 bread rolls per person. at 75 head, Thats $75. Wont find them under 50 cents each I believe. And accurate numbers are impossible to predict.
A suggestion is that everyone looks after their own drinks, bread rolls, & crockery/cutlery.
Those like Boots & I that are unsure what to buy , will buy stuff thats needed as its nominated. Or with things like watermelons, prepared salads, etc, we could pay the costs to the person that can procure them cheaper than we can.
If someone has a wholesale or farm price available on salad mixes, pineapples, watermelons, let us know then some of us may elect to buy a Quantity of similar value to what we would put into a roast & veges.
Its just a thought.
With people supplying all sorts off stuff, & Ron & Sylvias Salad offers,& others that surely will follow, maybe some of us just kick in with say $30 or so each on the Saturday, so the organising team can buy whats forgotten at the local supermarket? theres sure to be things overlooked.
We have 3 truck tubes for the Big & Little kids to play in the swimming hole.( not much good to eat though.)
Not long now.

Good evening Canungra attendees, I'm in the process of building a "name Tag" list. Previously I made name tags for those at the Tallebudgera Creek CP gathering, 38 cards. I think, the only one I stuffed up was 1954homemade, which I have listed as a new one. I have the following: Roehm3108 x2 tnt75 x2 RollyDog x1 smut57 x1 boblor x2 bobandjacqui x2 1954homemade Di phargan x2 philou x2 margra x2 Schultzys x2 bondwoodvans x2 vernon x2 need (kids names) smiles x1 (cathie only) talisman x2 Q. Is there anyone I have missed who does not have a name tag? For vernon, could I please have the names of others attending inc guests Cathie, is there another (smiles) ? If you do not wish to put your details on this public forum, drop me a PM ;D Kind regards, Ron Let no one be known nameless or addressed as "mate".

Are you suggesting that the local IGA isn't a proper supermarket and that I should venture to one of those in a shopping centre ? Hmm we'll see. Note sure about bringing the real rolly dog on this one. Olive is slowing down a bit at present (she turns 11 next week) but I may bring Rufus the 8 year old as he is still pretty active. Rollydog

Name Tags. Nothing like statistics ;D I have previously made up 37 name tags and for the event at Canungra, I so far have 48 to do. 85 out of 691 members + families I wonder what percentage are Australian only? "If" I manage to float around Australia to other events, I may get even more done. We will be going overseas within the next two years, so who knows ;D Cheers, Ron
