Hi All, Mez it was great talking to you yesterday and I am pleased to read this morning that you and Steve will be coming along to Canungra - I look forward to catching up you both then. Shame about the annex but don't worry I won't say a word !!!! Dosse & Ilse, It appears as though most of the meat, veggies, salads and desserts have been covered now but I don't think anyone has mentioned condiments??? So how about I bring all the sauces i.e. mint, apple, BBQ, tomato, mayo etc etc. I'll phone you later today and have a chat anyway. Looking forward to catching up with everyone. luv Di

Dosse Change of plans for arriving Friday. Forget breakfast so send me your lunch menu. The Hunter is on the hoist at work with a wheel cylinder that has a stripped thread. I'll endeavour to get one on thursday but hope Escort RS2000 style are easy to find otherwise the 4wd will be there with the Munro. Rollydog 1 and the 4 paw version will seee you then. RD ps The badminton net is packed so you can demonstrate your court prowess on Friday afternoon.

Hi Ray, Thanks for the suggestions. I won't be bringing the Port, but will be bringing a bottle or 2 of Sticky. As for the restaurant size coffee maker - sorry no can do, I don't drink coffee and don't like the smell of it After dinner mints - now that's a good idea As for the dancing girls - are you loosing your touch? You normally have that organised yourself! Di

Hello
We are still hoping to make it but the last two times we went to Canungra I got very bad car sickness.
So therefore thought it is better for us not to say we will definately make it all the way to canungra but are planning to. Hopefully we wont have to turn around and go back home
Regards
Kathryn

Cunungra has been run and won by the Vintage Vanners. A fantastic weekend at a great location. Correct me if I am wrong but 39 Vintage vans plus most of them towed by classic cars. The weather was extra hot but the creek was inviting. With a few new members and old faces catching up a definate thanks to Ron Mc for the name tags which made it easier than calling everyone except Dosse "Maaaaatte". Chief cook Pete ensured everyone got a well done meal before retreating to his new inner sanctum, the V8 driving simulator" Yes, a first for a VV event. Genuine V8 driving simulators in the semitrailer were working Friday and Saturday night for the group. Great town, great location but most importantly a great get together for our ever expanding group. Thanks to Dossee aka Maaaaatte and all those who helped arrange the location, santa swap meet, group dinner and a great social atmosphere. This was the first true test for my Hunter wagon with the Munro and it passed with flying colours. See you at Mudjimba in February!!!! Rollydog and the 4 legged rolly aka Rufus.

In my rush to put the first post on when I got home I omitted to thank the ladies for the tremendous work they did. Ilse, Trish, Barb, Lynne, Di, Cheryl and all the others helped make it a fantastic weekend. From a single guy's point of view it was by far the best meal I have had all year. Rufus is basking in the air conditioning after a very social weekend. He would have luved to come home in Pete and Trish's new "F" truck. Rollydog

Thanks to all of Santa's little helpers for an overwhelming weekend, the free chairs, the shoes for Yoko, the food, the company, the venue, the musician, the breeze in the shade and the two vintage tow balls which will be apropreately hung side by side from the shed roof. On departure I forgot to pay the caretaker so I owe them $16 next time I'm passing and I pluged in the car fridge which blew a fuse and killed the fuel guage, the engine temperature, the wipers, all lights and indicators and the radio.......but where I pluged it into, the cig. lighter, still worked.....and I don't smoke!? Sorry to disappoint all by not having Yoko along, I'll tell her she was missed. Thanks to all 80 or so of the participants and see as many as possible at Nimbin, Man!!! phargan

Hi all,
Thank you for a great weekend we had a fab-hot time. All the family enjoyed the weekend which was really important to us. Sat night was also great thanks to everyone for the wonderful meal. After many hours in Vera Fri and Sun we are all in need of an early night. Des is was happy we got there and back with no problems. He was abit nervous one of the old dears would let us down, particually with the heat, and being our first big adventure with the duo. Now we will be preparing for a bigger trip to Townsville at the end of the year. (Yes more heat).
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL HAVE A SAFE AND GOOD ONE
Thanks again for a lovely welcome des and kel

Just want to reitirate what previous posters have already said. Yep, another great end-of-year event for the SE Qld v/Vanner. Was great to meet newbies, as well as catch up with oldies from the site. Would almost be unfair to thank individuals here, cos sure as eggs a person would miss someone. So good to see so many pitch in on making Saturday night a real success.
One thing that was missed in the posts so far was mention of the great C & W entertainment put on my Daryl, who was camped beside the crick with his lovely wife Heather and got roped into singing for his supper. And sing he did! Someone said he sounded like John Denver, only better! And all without an amp! Thanks to you Daryl, should you happen to read this thread! And good luck at Tamworth next year, where you plan to busk. And if anyone is going to the Texas Muster next year, Daryl will be there too!!!
Keep them pics coming guys, cos this poster forgot to take a camera along!!!
