Guess who!! that's right the mystery member, as you can tell I'm still about annoying people, so an update on my so called retirement plans, gave my boss the letter and he took it quite well, not exactly how I wanted it to go but hey, it is what it is, anyway fast forward a couple of months and he stops me on my way out the door to go home and asks me if I would reconsider and stay on doing just 2 or 3 days a week making up the other days from Annual leave and Long service leave (my original request) so that is what I have been doing since Easter and occasionally when work gets a bit quiet I take a whole week or two off which has been great, my Panel Van is now ready for paint when I get enthused and the weather is on my side, once it is done I will attempt to upload a few pics, I hope that it will be finished next year and then I can make a long awaited start on my Roadcruiser, (when I'm retired).👍

I've logged in for something different , I'm still plugging away with my FJ Van all be it slowly and next year definitely looks like the year I will begin spending more time at home, thinking end of financial year is a good time so that is my aim at the moment, will be giving the boss the good news when I go back in 2023 but I don't think he is going to like it however that won't be my problem, looking forward to doing more on my projects and getting many chores done around the place that I have been neglecting over the years, but first things first, after being cancelled back in 2020 for obvious reasons I will be heading off to Cooma for the FX FJ Nationals after Christmas for some R&R, will try and get back on here more often in 2023 and will need to teach myself how to upload pictures again, cheers to all and a Merry Christmas and Happy New year, stay safe and enjoy the break.

And still nothing has changed from all those years ago, it still sits upon my drive waiting for me to start, it is just a matter of time which I currently have very little of.

Hi folks, look who has made an appearance! Yes I'm still around and no I've not touched the Road cruiser but she is still sitting there patiently waiting for my impending retirement, still working full time but can now see some light at the end of the tunnel, maybe next year, but will need to wait and see the results on one or two things before I set a date, I'm still plugging away on my FJ Panel Van which is my main project at the moment and getting very near to the painting stage, as for myself all is well nearly back to my pre illness weight (fat) so I'm doing something right or should that be wrong? I don't know, I am looking forward to the future and what retirement will bring me in the way of time to finish my projects and just enjoy myself knowing I am not at someone's beck & call, all the best guys and I will be back one day with pics and stories of my reno of the Road Cruiser. Fast forward from my last update, saw my surgeon for the last time back in May of 2020, 5 years clear and was told not to come back (he's obviously had enough of me) I'm feeling really well, almost like the old me only older, still nothing done to my Van but it is waiting patiently for me to start, I have however been busy with the latest tow car being my FJ Panel Van so who knows what the new year will bring, may even get a start on the Roadcruiser, on a brighter note however with the situation Melbourne has been in I have been one of the lucky few who has been able to work right the way through hence the reason for not having much time to play with the toys, lets hope that 2021 will be a better year for all.

Geeeeezzz I'm slack, nearly 12 months and I'm here replying to my post, I did get that wiring loom from Towbars Australia and it fitted up real easy with the instructions supplied and worked from the get go with absolutely no problems what so ever.

Update, have found a place online in Qld, Towbars Australia, they sell both towbar kits and harnesses on their own so have ordered one just need to see that it works when I've plugged it in and run a separate power wire from the Batt to the rear of the car to power the relays, if it works then I am way ahead cos it only costs $95 that I find is a lot more appealing than the original $380 quote from Mitsubishi.

G'day Roehm3108 and Mustang, thanks for your replies, made a few more inquiries and have a couple of leads to follow up on, my thoughts were as you said Mustang, never know what they have done with these new fangled cars of today and yes Ray I have thought of wreckers just haven't contacted any as yet, figure anyone wanting a plug harness would have bought the towbar as well or vice versa but is an avenue I have yet to follow up on. Cheers Derk, oh and by the way if anyone is interested the Roadcruiser is still on my drive, looks like it will be a retirement project for me.

Are there any Triton owners out there, Specifically 2017 MQ models, I have recently fitted a tow bar to my Cab Chassis (bought second hand) now want to wire up a trailer plug, has any one just piggy backed off the existing tail lights and if so has it had any effect on the running of the car? spoke with an Auto Elec but he didn't seem to sure and suggested asking a Mitsi dealer, they want $380 just for a trailer plug loom which I think is just a tad over the top for what it is so thought I would ask here, thanks in advance. What a story, the family must have been lost for words upon hearing of it's existence and more so the fact that she is still being used, well done to Mr Don Ricarado on his brilliant detective work also, not everyone is this lucky to find info on their old van.

Humpyboy, What was the fare worth ? A few shillings I reckon Must have been a fare distance cos I got one pound, but they took it back at the end of the day, I did however get to go home with $350 for my half days work so i think I did pretty good out of it.

Has it been almost a year since I last looked, bad boy humpyboy yes unfortunatly I'm still in the land of the living it's been 2 years now all is well other than my weight, mid 90's now (so much for having half a stomach) still nothing on the projects, however I have been tinkering with my FJ Panelvan a bit and I still have the Roadcruiser if anyone is wondering, I think that might turn into a retirement project at this rate to many other things to do right now and no spare time for fun stuff but such is life.

Always a good idea to add your location, this way people will know if you can pickup or if you need to look at transport, I may also be able to help depending on what you exactly need.

Saw my surgeon and he is a happy man, CT Scan organized for Feb but probably wont know the results till much later when I see either the Oncologist in March or my Surgeon again in June, but thus far I'm feeling pretty good with no lasting problems other than reflux from time to time but if that's all I have to put up with then I'm good with that.

Hi Al my VV Friends Just a quick update. Finished my Radiation program on Monday 14/12, and no noticeable side effects to date, however I am a little low with energy. Flying to Newcastle tomorrow at lunch time, to spent Christmas with my families, and back home on 3/1. Start some more Doctor appointments on 4/1. Today I rec'd some blood test results, my platelets have increased to a good level for me, but my tumor marker has increased considerably, -- which is not good. Plan to start travel towards Tassie with others on 19/1/'16 and return direct to the Nats at SWR. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all, and thanks very much for your thoughts during the past year. Cheers boblor Good news Boblor, at least you can kick back a bit and enjoy Xmas, I also had a good visit with my surgeon the other day so that makes two of us.
