G'day kerri, it is very easy to "overdose" when working on these vans, so you do need to take some time out on occasions and recharge your enthusiasm batteries. You have achieved an amazing amount of work on your van so far, and it will be a real credit to you when you have finished. Try switching your train of thought to finishing the van to the standard you want, no matter how long it takes, rather than pushing yourself to meet a deadline. Go spoil yourself for a period of time, and come back to the project when your enthusiasm returns. We'll all still love ya whether you finish it this year or next year. cheers, Al. Hi @franklin1 shesgotthelook and Mustang , Thank you for your thoughts. Yes, the pressure of 'finished by Christmas', could be too much. I never give up, so it will be finished. I just need to get through this obstacle of aligning the van and then I can start on the inside, and I know that won't take long after. So, I have looked around for some handymen that I will pay to help me. I'm on school holidays, so have time, but just unable to do this bit by myself. I have had a couple of rest days. I graduated from uni and had my graduation on Wednesday. Funny you mention the 'standard'. I have high standards of myself and the van WILL look amazing when done. Nothing less. Thanks for 'still loving me' regardless. Now, back to it. Kerri

Hi, I would just like to give a massive thanks to Michael, tooleyau for helping me get through the block I had with the caravan. He has done a massive amount of work and of course I helped. I feel like I can move forward now. Can I also thank @koala for his advice when needed. Bunnings love me and can't wait to see the van. I also got a Tradie card and a Tradie doughnut. Now it's time to add the seats back in and complete the front section of the caravan. I also have a new name for the girl - Dodgy! or Bitsa! Think about it... Kerri

Hi Kerri Pleased to hear that you are back on track. A little tip, Tooleyau is really good on a sander and does a first class job. He even works better if you can give him a custard tart. I remember the time when we were on a car run and he kept a family size custard tart on the dashboard to chew on a he drove. Keep the chin up. Koala

Hi. Thank you and how funny. Thanks for the tip. I must try the custard tart (man size). I offered him a tradie donut and he refused. He said that the sugar does something to him Kerri

OMG! Flickr has been a right old pain in the ........... It took me weeks just to get one account. Yes, I spoke with Flickr, got on their forum and facebook. What a process. I still have three accounts and hopefully can delete them. I don't want to talk about it anymore. Next subject...
Finally after spending way too much of my time on sorting photos and getting them in some sort of order, I have now replace all photos from my treads except this one. This is the big job.
I will then update you all on the progress of my van. A bit slow.

This is our new colour scheme. We colour matched: 1. Original light blue for the cupboards 2. Original creme for the walls 3. The darker blue goes on the aluminium strip around the windows 4. The black and white will be the vinyl floor 5. The speck laminate for the table. Looks really good in real life. 6. We will be adding splashes of red via kitchen utensils etc. 7. The chrome will be the trim. Just put it in the photo for visual purposes. 20171201_073801 by Kerri Insley, on Flickr

Hi, Here is a couple of pics of where we are up to with the van Before: Crappy top cupboard, chipped window ply and broken one end. The seat has since been removed and repainted (photos to come) 20171028_164918 by Kerri Insley, on Flickr During: Added new timber frame to hole the bendy ply and table. 20171203_124130 by Kerri Insley, on Flickr Added new ply around windows, insulation and re-attached the top cupboard. I have the ply ready to place over the top cupboard but need to do measurements for the cupboard doors. 20171203_155025 by Kerri Insley, on Flickr 20171203_155036 by Kerri Insley, on Flickr We also added a new piece of ply flooring. 20171203_151427 by Kerri Insley, on Flickr

I need help with this bit.
I need to attach the bendy ply to the underside of the window. I forgot. I tried searching on the forum but unable to find a tutorial or pics from someone who has already done it. What I have searched, the pics have gone via photobucket.
Any help with a link? Thanks Kerri

Hi kerri,
What did you actually forget??
I presume you have one full sheet of bendy ply that is going to cover the whole of the front from the floor up to the window sill? If that is the case, are you looking for help in how to fit that sheet into position (which includes how to measure the sheet size so it fits that end neatly)??
cheers, Al.

Attachment DeletedHi, Thank you for the clarification, but I shall be more specific. Did you want the long or the short story... To glue, screw, bind (whatever you want to call it) the sheet to under the window seal, I believe we need to add another piece of timber to hold it. I'll get some photos for you tomorrow afternoon. So, yes, I need some instructions only for the window section, the floor is sorted.

kerri, I'd be thinking you would need to fix the top edge of the bendy ply into whatever timber framework exists in the window framework. The first concave bend just under the windows looks like it is fairly close to the minimum radius of 100mm that bendy ply is rated for. I would be very tempted to cut a strip off the end of the sheet of ply and test that strip for ease of bending to fit the complete shape at the front. I would cut a 2" wide strip and sand the edges smooth and rounded to reduce the likeliness of snapping when trying to force the ply into the top bend. If the strip fits the concave bend easily, then the whole sheet will fit easily. If you have to really force the strip into position to make the bend, it will be a heck of a lot harder to make the full sheet fit.
Even bendy ply will want to straighten itself out after bending, so the tighter the bend, the more it will want to try and 'pop out' of the bend. Plenty of glue and nails on the cross beams will be needed to make sure the bendy ply is held in position over its complete area.
cheers, Al.

Just an update We finished the front and back with the bendy ply. We added a new floor and there is ply at the back of where the kitchen will be. Next, we do the cupboards, finish adding ply around the walls and around the back window. This is what it looked like: 20171229_133918 by Kerri Insley, on Flickr 20171229_133938 by Kerri Insley, on Flickr This is what it looks like now 20180101_160407 by Kerri Insley, on Flickr

We also just finished off adding the new ply to the back, upper part of the window to finish the whole frame.
Next, we attack the cupboards. Kerri
