OOPS!!! Using the wrong terminology here and could be misleading with the clue Correct clue.....a country persons male descendant would stop here, not his sibling (that's brother or sister SB )

I think somewhere in this section is a posting that says this model would have a chassis number less than 100?

Just been reading DR's comments on the chassis numbers on Millard Deluxe circa 60/61....and while in the process of restoring mine... read getting rid of all the 'spongewood' I came across this, which helps me a lot because there is no chassis number on the van due to the Jones Wheel modification. It is on the panel at the rear of the van ,left (door) side. Clearly states 1961...can't figure out the 'squiggle' in front, but most important I think is the number 98 in the bottom left hand corner. I will get around to doing some pictures on the resto......its like an iceberg....theres a lot more underneath than on the top!! Photos of Humpty2's Millard caravan referred to in this post:Further information and photos here

I have checked with the repro suppliers here and none of them have the hinges I am looking for. Will try to get in touch with these Hallam people. Surely other 50's vans have these hinges.....and no they are not the same ones used on most Dons
PM sent Al.

I hope some-one has had experience with these before. Van is a 1961 Millard....the clearance lights etc appear to be earthed to the aluminium body of the van.....surely not!!
