ITs only 450 kg, so doesn't need them. The people I bought the van off think the wheels are old Austin wheels. They have 4 studs??

Can anyone tell me if this extra part of the tow ball is a brake? handbrake? .. I don't know what it is or what purpose it serves. Thanks. littleblackbird.

MY Bondwood may be going to my sister, she has fallen in love with it and has a 4WD which should tow it easy enough. IF it doent go to live with her then I will be Ebaying it soon... The Bondwood weighed in at 960. This one says 450. A huge difference. My car will manage 450 fine... There is writing on the front and the rear of the van but its really worn away. One end has enough letters , if I take a close up shot and post it on here i'm sure someone will recognise what it says... No number stamped on the chassis, vic roads issued me with one when i got my driving it permit. They didnt do that with the Bondwood?

Hi Cobber, The brackets are still on the van. it looks as though they were not even attached as there are no screws on the floor. and they were in a position that if there were screws they had to fall downwards.... i'm glad to hear i'm not the only one. i lost the glass out of 1 window with my first van and this time checked everything before we drove off, except the roof hatch! we did not even hear anything fall and we were listening for odd noises the whole trip.... lol...

Hi Everyone, I have lost the roof hatch on the trip home... It was not screwed on.... I picked up my new van today, a 10'6"aluminium 1960's... I collected it from Eaglehawk (near Bendigo and traveled along Victoria St, Don Rd, Eaglehawk Rd, High St- down through Golden Square and Kangaroo Flat ( through the Safeway/Caltex petrol station at Kangaroo Flat and then the Calder Freeway back to the Bell st Exit of the Freeway, Pascoe Vale, Melbourne. If any members are passing any of these roads/streets, could you please, please look out on the sides of the roads and the Freeway if anyone is passing that way and if u see it and its safe to do so, could u grab it for me, even if it is now broken.A big ask but, I don't even know what to replace it with if I can't find it. Please guys/girls, please just keep an eye out for me.A friend had to drive me as I've been very unwell of late hence me buying in December and only collecting today. I am not physically able to make the drive back up and back at present. If anyone finds it please pm me... I will get my daughter to drive me to collect it. I can reward you with some fresh organic plums from out tree... Thhanks all for reading, Vikki, littleblackbird... (:>)=

I'm sorry I missed it. My sick sister has been in hospital this time since last Thursday, and I'm happy to say that she has had a little baby girl but mum, is still not well enough so they need to stay in bit longer.. I really wanted to come but my sister needed me.

Its not my first, LOL, I joined this Forum in 2008 when I bought my first, a 1946 h/m bondwood. The car I had for that one was stolen and my replacement car is too light to tow it without some long term extra wear and tear so I started looking for a little aluminium one, will match my car better too. ) and I am alone now so wanted something I can handle without man muscle. LOL... I dont collect until weekend of December 19th.. This is my X-mas pressie to myself...

Hi all, I bought some Brasso to try and clean the brass tap and filler cap etc that are on a galvanized water tank I acquired from Reddo. Anyway, after making myself totally sick with the fumes and scrubbing away for hours, someone reminded me that Coca Cola used to be great at cleaning the old 1 and 2 cent pieces and I gave it a go. WOW, I soaked the tap for about 4 days and after a very quick 5 min scrub, I have a shiny brass tap and cap etc.... Thanks to Coca Cola( full strength). Thought I should share this in case it may save someone else the $8 cost of Brasso and all of that elbow grease...

Thanks for the welcome Gristy I am sure there will be a tale to tell about the journey home. We are making up a lightboard tomorrow and my kind 'HE' housemate who has a big strong work ute is going to tow it for me. We will probably argue all the way home LOL and God help us(him)LOL, if something goes wrong. I'm so scared a wheel will fall off etc etc. I tried to post a pic following the advice online but could not get the pic in. Any hints?
