PLEASE Read help needed....Lost roof hatch.

Hi Everyone, I have lost the roof hatch on the trip home...
It was not screwed on....
I picked up my new van today, a 10'6"aluminium 1960's...
I collected it from Eaglehawk (near Bendigo and traveled along Victoria St, Don Rd, Eaglehawk Rd, High St- down through Golden Square and Kangaroo Flat ( through the Safeway/Caltex petrol station at Kangaroo Flat and then the Calder Freeway back to the Bell st Exit of the Freeway, Pascoe Vale, Melbourne.
If any members are passing any of these roads/streets, could you please, please look out on the sides of the roads and the Freeway if anyone is passing that way and if u see it and its safe to do so, could u grab it for me, even if it is now broken.
A big ask but, I don't even know what to replace it with if I can't find it.
Please guys/girls, please just keep an eye out for me.

A friend had to drive me as I've been very unwell of late hence me buying in December and only collecting today. I am not physically able to make the drive back up and back at present.
If anyone finds it please pm me... I will get my daughter to drive me to collect it. I can reward you with some fresh organic plums from out tree...

If I had quid, well... a thousand quid... for every roof hatch that's been lost on a recovery mission I'd be a millionaire.... well... I'd be richer than I am now .

Looking at the photos of this little 'van you bought I'd say it won't be real hard to knock up a roof hatch for it if the original can't be found.
Do you still have the brackets that held the hatch or did they go west with the hatch ?

Hi Cobber,
The brackets are still on the van. it looks as though they were not even attached as there are no screws on the floor. and they were in a position that if there were screws they had to fall downwards....
i'm glad to hear i'm not the only one.
i lost the glass out of 1 window with my first van and this time checked everything before we drove off, except the roof hatch!
we did not even hear anything fall and we were listening for odd noises the whole trip.... lol...
