Thanks for the feedback guys. ;D Yes, you're right Atog, I just want to go away in it. I've spent enough time on it now. Time to enjoy it (after spraying the rims and adding the whitewalls.) ;D

Hi Jason,
The double bed is not for Biggest Loser contestants, that's for sure. As my wife refuses to come away in my van I can't tell you how it sleeps. Humpty would be the best to ask but he may be away at the moment. It's no queen that's for sure.

Oh, yes, forgot to add that I am painting the rims the same blue on the weekend. Did you do your stone guards too, Adam? Any pics?

Hi VVs, Have added the flash (was red but now blue to match the Citroen DS). Here's the question: I also - like a lot of Sunny owners - have painted the stone guards - underneath front. In hindsight I think they lead the eye away from the overall retro bubble shape of the van - it's best feature. The Citroen originally came with a white roof but I painted it in one colour to amplify the effect of the shape, too. What do you think? Paint over the stone guards at the front or leave em? Cheers, Dorian PS Keen on your thoughts too, Humpty. You out there!

Thanks Willyn, I agree. The DS was recently voted number two in the best Car of the 20th cent - just pipped by the Model T-Ford! The DS revolutionized car design in 1955. All cars today owe something to the DS. Drivable art. I think aesthetically it works very well with the Sunliner - both fiberglass roofs!
Yeah, I agree Swellwillys. Very art deco! Many thanks for the feedback.

Thanks Atog. It's become a man cold. But I have a shiny van. ;D Yeah, Andrew, I agree, it looks a hellva lot better than before. I had a dig, what the hell. Very glad Kaz and Adam that you saw my post. Thanks for the inspiration and help re paint advice. What polish should I use? Will ultimately post pics of the Citroen and Van together.

Hi VVs, Remember my old post: something different? Well, this is what has been holding up the resto on the sunny for 12 months - but see my new paint pics on the forum. What do you think? It has been exhausting. Way beyond doing up the caravan. Before: After:

Hi yawl, Here are pics of me spraying the van - finally plucked up the courage to do it! After seeing the sterling job Adam and Kaz did on their van I follwed their tips and used Norglass products. It's fiberglass paint. Best finish methinks. I'm happy with the job. A pro would have done better but I couldn't afford it. I borrowed a pal's compressor as my beaver wasn't quite as good (kept whacking me with its tail). What do you think? Thanks for Spyder and Humpty for advice and support. Will now follow up on those rubbers from Tony H.

Yeah, the DS is wonderful. Will be a great tow car. Yours electric brakes or pressure brakes on the Sunny? Have painted my Sunny with it's first top coat but looks ordinary. Hoping it will be better with some more paint.

mate, it's such a good job so far I thought it was a fiberglass paint. My Goddess is a goddess- as in a Citroen DS (Goddess in French). Is the dodge in tow cars?

I used a hoist to paint my underbelly - hard gig without it. What paint are you using Sheppo? Are you spraying or hand painting?

Actually, as I have the compressor, how do I clear the gas line in the van again Humpty?
