Persevere with photobucket if you can, at least your photos will be of a viewable size.......but then when I click enlarge it occupies the whole screen. Now lets see the front view of the Sunliner with paint, and the new tow hitch.

These are a few pics of the hard way to clean and paint a chassis. Certainly makes working under the van easy. Nearly finished, and it only took 1 hour. ;D

I used a hoist to paint my underbelly - hard gig without it. What paint are you using Sheppo? Are you spraying or hand painting?

Hi Dorian, Iám trying something new for me i'm going to spray with acrylic car paint, should be interesting as i have never used a spray gun in anger before. I will attempt to match my Dodge (the most beautifull car ever made) Colour scheme. Unfortunately Sunny is on the back burner as La Dodge comes back from the painters next week and needs reassembly. She is the only one of her kind in OZ. Wish i could devote 8 hrs to Sunny and 8 to my Goddess. ;D luckily the Leader Of The Opposition is away.

mate, it's such a good job so far I thought it was a fiberglass paint. My Goddess is a goddess- as in a Citroen DS (Goddess in French). Is the dodge in tow cars?

That ochre colour is highfill. Love those ds,s they are really cool. My fav citroen is the traction avante. Fixing the brakes on Sunny today, the inner brgs are seized onto the stub axles but it cleaned up ok in the end.

Yeah, the DS is wonderful. Will be a great tow car. Yours electric brakes or pressure brakes on the Sunny? Have painted my Sunny with it's first top coat but looks ordinary. Hoping it will be better with some more paint.

Hi Dorian, mine are pressure or overload, they actuate with the draw bar pressure. Thanks for the encouragment Whippy, unfortunately my Dodge will take precedent now that it's back from the painters. Not that happy with my colour choice now it's done but it will have to do. Sometimes things look different on paper. I will be in Melbourne for 2 weeks so no work going on, I think i will be in Narre Warren so i may find that Caribean there and take a peek. I have heaps of room for another project so who knows. Humpty my hoist is always free for you. Love the new van she has come up a treat.

;D Gidday gang, bet you didn't even wonder where i was. I've been travelling thru Central America, from Mexico to Panama and all in between for the last 3 months, thats why no posts. Finally have been able to do more on Sunny, mainly painting and replacing rotten ply shelving. As the weather is not ideal for painting i started replacing my window rubbers and thought i'd better clean up the frames which are badly pitted. Have tried steel wool but it's not touching the pits, is wet and dry the next thing to try or is there something better. NICE to be back home and catch up on all that i have missed here. This is the culprit. Thanks guy's. Sheppo!

Well it's blue sky sunshine, time to paint sunny, mmm can't get her in the shed to much other stuff in there at the moment. Well it's only the first coat so if the odd leaf falls on the top it won't matter, OH YEAH, Murphy waited till i was half way thru and decided to make the wind blow, now i know why the Yanks call if fall, cos thats what it did and of coarse im using the old fashioned mineral enamel so now i can call my van SUNNYSPOT. Hopefully they will come off when it dries in 24hrs. STOP laughing i bet i'm not the first to fall victim to leaf dropping episodes, anyway here's a photo to make you happy, which i'm not. and here is one of her with a new coat of paint, looks good so far. ;D If the final coat, which WILL be done in the shed comes out as good as the 1st i will be very happy. For those that care i did it with a very fine knap roller. Sheppo.

The leaves flicked off ok but i have little dots as if it had silicon on it, the paint is sort of clear in spots. I sanded it and dusted it off just before i painted so it should have taken evenly, any thoughts would be appreciated. You can see them in the photo if you look closely. Sheppo.

Well at last a sunny day (no pun intended) to rub back and put another coat of paint on Sunnyspot. This time i cleared a place in the shed so shouldn't have another leaf problem which turned out not to be a problem. Paint went on easily again with a fine knap roller, i think it came up pretty good. ;D Only thing is how do you get bird shit stains of the paint when dry? Sheppo.
