Hi Col, Isambard & Seeshell, Yes, that is a Don (oh how I wish I knew where it is today). Col, you are right on the money! Thought I would post an additional photo, which I call, "Like Father Like Son". I was about 16 or 17 at the time and we were on the Coorong, on the way over to Adelaide from Melbourne. I have some other family photos of the Don, which I will post shortly, in Members Photo Album, which I'll call "Don Family Photos. Max

Hi Doug,
You are testing the memory as it was a long time ago, however my recollection is that it was at Kows Swamp, on the Murray Valley Highway, between Echuca & Cohuna.

The following photos are of my parents many caravans they owned years ago. In the photo is Mum (who is still going relatively well) now aged 96, unfortunately Dad is now looking down, from the great Caravan Park in the sky. I hasten to add that the Fiat 500 in the last photo, was not the tow vehicle. Would anyone be able to have a guesstimate at the age of the Van? Max

I had an MRI a few days ago and spoke to my Doctor a little while ago.
The upshot is that he strongly advised against driving to Cowra, so this means a site is up for grabs.
Arrive 28/4 and depart 4/5.
Have a great time everyone and take plenty of photos.

Mr Olfarts Sir,
I didn't think to measure it, however going on the size of my former GlobeTrotter, I would imagine it would also be around the 14 foot mark.
Didn't notice any tea towel racks!

Mr Olfarts Sir,
Thanks Dave, I must admit that I do have mixed feelings about seeing her go as she was a beauty in many ways.
However, as you know, I'm now on the lookout for another and I hear there maybe one available in your neck of the woods??

Saw this last Sunday, unfortunately I couldn't get any closer. However did manage to ascertain that it is not for sale. Anyone have any thoughts on what is her approx age and make? Max

Hi Cobber,
My thinking is along similar lines to you ... the Spats would cover up half of the white walled tyres.
Still love to see some examples though, of what others have done with their Spats.

Trying to finish off my '50-'51 Bondwood in time for Cowra and I'm seeking some ideas on some different Spats. The existing spats whilst not original, were made sometime prior to 1976 when the van was last registered and they just don't suit. Any photos of the Spats on your van would be both welcomed and appreciated. The last photo is the new colours for the wheels, without the De Soto hub caps. Max

OlFarts solution does work, I tried it on his recommendation and after a month or so, the difference between "before & after" was unbelievable.

Hi Derk,
Hard to believe the huge difference from when you first picked it up, until the present time. Congrats again and I really look forward to seeing further photo updates ... particularly when you finally screw on those rare Safetee Minor name plates.
A great job, well done.

Hi Leigh,
For the past few years, a group of us head up to Wentworth for the Melb Cup weekend. This year will be the same, so regrettably we will not be starters for Jamieson. Have a great time away ... perhaps another time?

I'm replacing today, the tyres on my Bushwacker Camperman. The existing "spare" tyre (5.95 x 10) is not required and is available if anyone wants/needs it. Heaps of tread, however the side walls show signs of cracks etc, but it might come in handy, never-the-less. Available for pickup at either Melbourne or the Mornington Peninsula. Max
