You've made a start and that's all that counts and may I add a good start it is, keep at it and you'll be finished and ready for the next one before you know it, OH yes you will, take it from someone who's got the resto bug, once you start you can't stop, isn't that right guys? projects just keep coming, more fun that way.

The reason we blokes do only one thing at a time is because you can't think about two things at the same time, I like my Cars to look like Cars and my Teardrops to look like Teardrops ;D

Sick of waiting for Vic roads so have had it out twice now (the CAR) first time was local, display at Bunyip show, five minute drive down the road went well and had a bit of intrest, second day out was an hours drive to work in the morning then later that evening over to my club meeting then back home, again went really well, only thing that I need to look at is a bit of wind noise around the drivers door.

WooooooW Mark, thanks for them pics, looking at the flex in the loading ramps she's no light weight, by the way I think you will look lovely in those dresses (talk of keeping things period correct) and that back yard looks hard to take,I mean how could anyone leave home in the morning for work or shopping or any other eason with a view like that, you'ld have to work from home would'nt you.

Hi Stan, if you go to DHL then "start your search here" then scroll down the list to "SAFETEE" and see what you find there, I have the "Safetee Minor" that is mentioned there, you may have seen it at Cora Lynn and I also have a full set of badges to go with it, if you look at the Sports minor you can see that the Minor badge is the same as mine as for the sports badge, may I suggest you draw something up that looks similar that can be cut out of plywood to use as a blank to cast a new badge, about the only thing I can think of unless one falls from the sky.

I'll stand corrected on the availability of 2 1/4" tow balls but if you were in Autopro then my guess is you were talking to a kid who wouldn't even know what an "Inch" was ;D A drop axle? Hmmm this is where the main part of the axle is straight and the stub axles (end pieces) that the wheels attach to are mounted off centre to the main axle, does this make more sense I hope so, at least I know what I mean

I am no expert okay! as for your axle, is it a drop axle?bit hard to see from your pic, if so just change it to a straight axle and you'll get instant lift, if not you'll need to wait for an expert to respond I could suggest placing the axle under the spring instead of on top but I think that was discussed somewhere else and for reasons I forget it is not a foolproof solution, 2 1/4" tow balls I think are still available from trailer suppliers / caravan supply shops and the like so it shouldn't be to hard to find one. Hope this is of some help. Derk.

Thanks again for the comments guys, waiting on new paperwork from Vicroads as they stuffed up on the engine number hope it will be here Monday or Tuesday, Banno I'm in sleepy little Bunyip, figure you would know it if you've been through a couple of times, Mark, yes the bumperettes are the same as you would find on a bakers van, original stuff I thought I'd never find and yes the trim rings are original as far as I can tell as are the spats.
