GREAT TO SEE IT GETTING THE ATTENTION IT RIGHTLY DESERVES. IN THIRTY YEARS OF OWNING , LOOKING , CHASING AND LOVING OLD HUMPIES , I HAVE NEVER SEEN ONE OF THESE . THE BROWN FAMILY (MARY,BUTCH,JAMES) FROM N.S.W USE TO ROCK AROUND IN A PALE GREEN FJ PANELVAN VERY MUCH LIKE THIS ONE , WINDOWS AND ALL . I DONT THINK IT HAD THE FOOTWELL/PETROL TANK RE-ARRANGED LIKE THIS ONE . SAME IDEA , JUST NOT DONE PROFESSIONALLY . LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING THE FINISHED RESULTS ON THIS RESTO . 8-)MAURIE

thanks guys for your comments on the Stacks FJ wagon . cruisindoug is correct in saying that the car is being painted in its original cream colour These pics show the car when it arrived in WA: you can appreciate the amount of work thats gone into it since then and the STACK badge ......... pics of some other cars in the Little Bros shed: humpy heaven the car at the rear is Body No 316 ....a black car that's claim to fame is the oldest known original unrestored FX and to the right is body No 19 .....a genuine 1948 car ......I was even allowed to sit in it the repo rego sticker on the 1948 car: a bakers van under total restoration: what side window ;D judging by the serious structual rust repairs happening, the bakers van must've been one of the FJ's left sitting at Port Melbourne as per this post hereand the nicest original FJ standard sedan I've seen how would you like to have this many spare FX / FJ guards in your shed and parts stacked to the roof: and more cars : Mark

Hi Mark Below is a photo of No 19 back in 1998. I went to a vintage vehicle rally in Casterton, and that year, their theme was 50 yrs of Holden. At their presentation dinner in the town hall, they had No 19 and a 1998 Commodore on the stage together. It was unrestored, straight out of a shed in all its original glory. Am unsure whether it ran, but I do remember someone said the brakes were seized, and that it was pushed onto the stage. At that time, it was still owned by its elderly owner. I believe at some stage afterwards, a younger family relative acquired & restored it. Then, like others, I saw the price wanted for it. I remember it had cloth seats, which I have not seen in an old holden since. Steve

Hiya Mark I have just removed a pair of side windows identical to those "chrome sliders" from my FB panel van . Those on the FJ wagon are the only other pair i have seen in all my years of messing with old cars. Rubbers on surrounds are perished . One sliding glass is cracked... otherwise in good nick. Anyone on the forum that are chasing a pair for a project are welcome to them cheap . Pick up is Newcastle NSW. Regards Reddo
