Any update to this thread ? PS my surname is Kennedy, but no obvious relation to Frank. The website is not active. I suspect the uptake of the rolling chassis didn't happen. Pity. Thanks. I sent an email to Wild Dog Campers, but they say they know nothing of Wild Dog Caravans. His Facebook page seems inactive too

Hi everybody, just wondered if "bubbles64" or anyone else had any further contact with Ian Kennedy on the history of the Kennedy caravans ? Also wondered if the moulds were still safe in Geelong ? Cheers, Alec

Hi Reddo, The spats drawing arrived today thanks. Wonderful, marvelous and more words to that effect. I've got some 50mm foam I can start making a pattern. Cheers, Alec

Nice project there. Since you have the spats separate, wonder if you could trace their outline on a piece of paper and post it to me so I can make a set of spats for my Caravelle, see new thread vintagecaravans.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=photo&action=display&thread=10307Note, the wardrobe extension over the bed seems to have been an optional extra on the Caravelle. Cheers, Alec (Kennedy), (and may even be a distant relative of Frank Kennedy).

I hope it is acceptable to post pics of my Caravelle project, given the logical heritage of the Kennedy caravan. So here is another Caravelle rescued from oblivion, Just a short introductory post, more pics and questions to follow. Cheers,

About the door hinges, I thought maybe if the pivot bolt is Land Rover then could be the hinges are too, but so far the Land Rovers I've looked at have different shape hinges. I also looked at pics of different Caravelles and it seems that they don't all have the same hinges anyway. Similar but not identical. The original hinges are missing altogether on mine, except for one arm of one hinge, so I don't have much to go on. Cheers, Alec

Back to your pic of the door hinge, are top and bottom hinges identical ? And have you tried Land Rover Series 2 back door hinges as a replacement ? Cheers,
