Wow wow wow! What did you do with the old one LOL? It's going to look fantastic when it's done - love the curtain fabric too. Now what have you done to the inside? Have you relined the walls and ceiling if so what with? It's got lovely clean lines whatever it is. Wish you'd been able to post those pics a year ago LOL - would have saved me a lot of guess and detective work . Can't wait to see the next installment....

Hi,
Your doing a great job, & as you know its a lot of dirty work getting to that stage.
It generally gets easier from here, so keep it up.

Yes same van but unfortunately the floor was rotten around the entire outside so once the floor had to be replaced it was an all or nothing job, and since i paid a pretty penny for her i had no choice. I have to admit i have not done the work myself as was intended as spare time is something i don't have a lot of so i have had one of my staff manage the project for me and some fantastic subcontractors who have gone out of there way to get it to this stage. The trailer is still at the galvanizes and we are waiting on the duratouque to arrive ( along with another 100 people ) so i am hoping next week she will be off the ground.

Also written duratorque. Compressed rubber in a tube. Original Mini suspension (?). Available from Trojan as a ready made suspension system for trailers, caravans. Cheers,

That is one lucky van - a superb job, super fast! Can't wait to see it with wheels and squabs etc. It's going to attract soooooo much attention when you get out on the road And those little sidelights are fab! What flooring are you going to use? And what did you reline the walls with?

Going to use red and white cork tiles, walls were lined with marine ply screwed and then fibre glassed over the joins, it was then skimmed with builders bog and sanded many times. I have also had a cast made of the door hinges as I needed one new one .

I have also had a cast made of the door hinges as I needed one new one . I was thinking I might have to do that too as one of them seems sort of twisted but have managed without, for now at least. If your hinges are like mine (there's a pic on my thread) the bolt arrangement is available from Landrover. Only about $20 for the pair. The way you've done the walls has given a lovely clean finish I'm envious. Thanks for the idea about the cork tiles. I hadn't realised they came in any colour other than 'cork' LOL.
