Hey guys, don't know if you've thought this far but do you think you'll be doing Xmas in July at Crows Nest this year? Was booked in last year but had to work instead (I'm on call 24/7). Failing that any other runs near Toowoomba area? Chris

Hi All,
Chirsandliso - I think that Crows Nest has been booked for the weekend of the 29th, 30th June & 1st July.
The date was bought forward slightly to coincide with a market on the Sunday.
Doug perhaps you can set the link up on your post please?
Lyn - The girls weekend will be sometime in September. I have already been looking into possible venus but need to do more and as I am very busy with work at present and will be going to Bagara next week, I don't expect to set the thread up with the booking info for a few weeks.
Regards Di

G'day everyone, couple of new events on the calender and fixed up a missing link hopefully all working properly now!
Di have added that link, how about making the girls weekend the weekend of Bathurst??? Boys might have a weekend of our own to chill in front of the races.

Doug,
That's a good suggestion to make the girls weekend the same weekend as Bathurst.
But unfortunately Bathurst will be on during the School Holidays, so we won't be booking a weekend away then.

Another one to add to the list. Millmerran Rod Run , easter weekend. I think everyone enjoyed it last year. $10 to enter . Free feed on Friday night. Gold coin breakfast in the mornings. Cruising the cars around the park with games, grass driving events and a show and shine in town. A really good weekend ! We will be going ! John and Dianne
Ps if anyone requires an entry form just message me and I will send you one.

Millmerran Rod Run is a must, we went last year and had a ball. This is there 10th anniversary so there should be a good turnout of cars and vans. We have got our entry form and will be going also. Cheers Stan and Deb.

Hi All,
Millmerran is a great event, but as it is on 5th to 9th April this year, it is pretty close to our Cowra Nationals.
I think a few of us that would have gone to Millmerran will have to give it a miss this year, because of the cost in time & money going on 2 long trips less than a month apart.
Its a shame, but sometimes economics have to be considered . I certainly cant afford to go to both, as much as I would like to

Lyn, Shame that you are going to miss Millmerran, but I can't blame you if you are going to be away on a cruise. I just got back from a cruise 3 weeks ago and am heading off on another one on Monday for 10 days ;D ;D I just love "Life on the open waves". Oh well if you aren't going to be around, I won't contact you to invite myself to stay at your place on the way to Millmerran ;D ;D No doubt we will catch up soon elsewhere. As for "Are there cabins where we are staying for the girls weekend". Surely you of all people will be able to tow your van? Di

Hi All, Does anyone know where the 2012 Christmas In June/July at Crows Nest thread has gone. ? I know it was there as I remember reading it and Doug had set up the link to it. Now when you click on the link, it comes up with the following message:- "An Error Has Occurred The thread you are trying to access does not exist". Hi Di hope you had a good trip home from Nats.
We haven't decided about going to Crows Nest as yet...love getting together with you all but we feel the mid winter repeat at Crows Nest might be a bit over done for us. I'd really vote for a different place for mid winter get together in 2013!
But then I'm one of the lot who likes to go to Canungra every year but then try different places the rest of the time!
Doug suggested Imbil for late Oct. There's a swap meet at imbil (date tbc) about 21/22 Oct so that could be a goer for a weekend...after Tathra but before Canungra.
Speaking of canungra, I see the dates are listed for it but theres no separate thread here , so do we go to bannos forum to pay money for dinner or what?

Hi Everyone, I have a suggestion for an event for 14 & 15 July 2012, The Samford Show is on and we are allowed to camp there on the Saturday Night. John & I go every year, we show our cars, and I mentioned about the Vintage Caravans and Trevor was very interested. The contact person is Trevor Taylor Phone number 3289 6294. He will be able to advise you of the space he has available. It is a great two days, fireworks on Saturday night at about 7.30pm, riding events, dogs, the bikes jumping over the big jump which is awesome. If anyone is a bit crafty and would like to enter into the cake cooking competition, or painting, or growing vegetables, have a look at the Samford show website and check it out. We will see you there if possible. John & Lynne Read more: vintagecaravans.proboards.com/index.cgi#ixzz1w4I8piRm

Hi Cathie,
With regards to Canungra, Banno has restricted access to his Forum for non members ( people like me who have never had the desire to join it), so I cant communicate with him or have any idea of what he is planning to do. He has also quit this Forum of his own choice & accord.
As Canungra has been an event on this Forum's calender for a few years now, surely it should be organised on here??
Does anyone know what is happening with this event??

Hi Cathie, Sorry I have not had a chance to be online much in the last few weeks. I might not even make it to Crows Nest at this rate - too much on my plate. As for Canungra - that is still a long way off, from memory we don't normally start paying money etc etc til about August. Dennis I am not getting into the "own Choice & Accord" issue, coz i'm certain there has already been more than enough fall out from that matter. But as for what is happening with Canungra. Banno and Bob (Bob&Jacqui) were both kind enough to step up to the plate to organise Canungra this year. They both know how the event and the run up to it normally happens, so i'm certain that once we get closer to the time and they have something to ask us all or tell us that Bob will set up a thread accordingly. Regards Di

Hi Dianne
Thanks for letting us know whats happening.
As for my comment about Banno, you may or may not know that he & I have had many friendly phone conversations, & my comment was based on a phone discussion we had about the time he left the Forum. From memory he rang me, but I could be wrong about that. We discussed a lot of things, & as a result I was in no doubt about why he left, & I havent posted & will not post what was said.
But my comment was true to the conversation. Sure the matter has been overdone in the past, but I have as much right as anyone to see the truth as I was told it is known. I have tried to rectify some of the problems in the past at various times.
Surely you can realise that.
