Hi from colnce. Could someone in the SEQ Mob tell me if it is a separate forum to the main VV forum and that a separate user name and password are required. Cheers

hi colnce
the seq forum is separate to this forum.
you will need to register to access it.
you could choose to use the same login name and password as you use here, or create new ones for that forum.

Hi,
Banno's Forum is a separate identity.
This Forum is the original, & there is always going to be some confusion unfortunately as to what is going on.
A lot of us SE Qld members that have been around for a while have stuck with this Forum, & a lot have gone with Banno's crew.
Its your choice where you become a member of, but you can be a member of both Forums if you wish.
At Cowra van Nationals, the members of this ( & probably both) Forums represented a very large group of SE Qld members, & we had a ball. Inter Forum politics only matter to those that want to get concerned.
Some of us dont do that, some do.
Gets a bit fragmented unfortunately, & to me is completely unneccesary, but I'm probably the odd one out.
So Confusion reigns in SE Qld at times, but I think anyone is welcome at any event. Most events seem to be advertised & discussed at the same time on both I believe. We allow visitors ( guests) to visit & read what is on our Forum, but Banno's Forum is ( I have been told) only visible to his members, but as I have never had the desire to join his Forum I can only go by what I am told.
Cest la Vie
Its all fun

Hi Cruisindoug,
Nothing sinister. It's nearly 2013 and its forum practice to "unsticky" all the state event threads so that new threads can be started for the new year and stickyed in their place. You'll note that all the state event threads for 2012 have been unstickyed and are now further down the thread list.
I see that the 2012 SEQ thread has a couple of 2013 events listed on it. Maybe you'd like to start a 2013 SEQ thread with these two events and we can sticky it in place for you?

Cool, I'll try to get to the 2013 calender soon unless someone else feels like doing it next year Was just going to add the Maleny event but wont bother now as its so close and everyone seems to be cool for that and Kenilworth. By the way, I'll just ask straight out so we all know what the go is, is there any problem from the forum administrators if the calender contains links to the SEQ forum? Some events originate there, as in are suggested there in the first instance, so I have just been putting the link to the first post about an event I see. Obviously, if the event is suggested here first then I link to here. Much less confusing if there is one thread per event. Cheers Doug

Cheers Doug i don't see a problem with the link but there's no point if the seq forum remains locked. the only members who could access it would be seq members anyway. conti.

Cool, most members of the SEQ mob forum are members of both or all three forums, except the ones that have been kicked off here, so its all good info for those that live in the area.
