Hi Banno,
I agree it was a good run, but a few of us were'nt very happy with the meal & the attitude of one of the serving staff & the manager when they run out of some of the meals.
I for one wont go back, but by all means everyone try it for themselves. Its not a bad caravan park, a bit light on hot water in the showers & not many loos for the number of sites I feel.
We've definitely been to better parks before, but as always its up to the majority to decide if they are happy to attend again.
Just because some are not interested in a repeat doesnt stop it happening.
Thats our democracy.

Hi Everyone,
I had a fantastic relaxing time at Crows Nest, Food was great (the tenderest roast beef ever), Showers not a problem, Bryden had a ball catching yabbies, all my boys want to go again. The park was really clean and the owner has done lots of improvements since he has been there. I am happy to be booked in again to this great event.

Hi Neil,
I'm aware they only do Xmas in July in July.
This next one planned is in the middle of July, but if it was (maybe) moved back until the end of July, that would put more time between events, & possibly give some a chance to attend both if they wish.
I was just trying to make life easier for some of us. It doesnt concern me personally when Crows Nest is held, so I'll leave it at that for me.

Yep, we've booked in again too. Grabbed up an ensuite so we can have 4 ensuites to share among all. Sounds as tho Rotary won't be there that weekend so we can grab fire spot & do camp ovens one night? Rob & Cathie

Hi Kiwi Jim,
We don't know of any other CC'ers or Perth people coming over as yet, but there are quite a few events being created for this year already so you are very welcome to come along to any of them. Put it in your calendar for Cooly Rocks on at Coolangatta 3 - 16 June, 2011. There is a website set up to have a look at. Some of the VVers' stay at Kirra Van park for a tip, we have booked last year a unit at Rainbow Beach for a change.
Joey has started a page for Coolly Rocks On as well.
Start planning now.

Hi Just booked a powered site, never been to this site, we always like to try new places. I hear it's cold there. Will we need an electric blanket? you know us poms, delicate creatures.

We took a little fan heater with us last year & were VERY happy we had it. The locals said there'd been a big frost the night before we all came, about -6.

Unfortunately I can't make it to this event but have arranged a little help for anyone that has tyre troubles on their way out there. One of my customers (Warren) owns the Crows Nest Tyre centre and he offered his mobile number for any after hours repairs that may be needed. I'll list the number a few days before the event. Hi all, unfortunately we are unable to make it to this event. It clashes with another outing we had already planned - oh well you can't make em all (unfortunately). Hope you all have a great time - I'm sure you will!!! Will see you at Queen Mary Falls in September. (can't make Tara in August either ) anyways hope you all stay safe, and will see you soon. Cheers, Dianne

hi guys,
We are unable to attend this event after all, and have cancelled our booking.
It was a great event last year, and we hope that those attending this year enjoy it as much as we did.

G'day banno, We've booked in today for the Friday, Sat, and Sunday nights (2 adults and 1 dog). They said there was a "block booking" for the Sat night Xmas dinner, so we didn't need to book for ourselves. Is that right? (...it probably tells me that in this thread somewhere... ). Have sent you a separate PM about some sail track lengths. cheers, Al.
