G'day all, Well in spite of the weather we had a great week-end away with the group again.......this trip to Crows Nest was a very special one for me personally. The story started after last July when we came to the Nest and I mentioned to my mum where we had been with the group and she informed me that we had family ties in Crows Nest. So with that we came looking for evidence knowing that my Grandmothers maiden name was Knight.......after spending some time looking in the Crows Nest cemetery I found the graves of my great great Grandparents on my mum side. . dosse.

G'day all again, As I said in my last post we had a great time away with a great bunch of friends was cold on Saturday maybe a top of about 11 or 12 deg Saturday night meal was just great met some new forum members. We brought with us our neighbours with a near new 25 foot Jayco not sure if they had a good time or not but now they're looking for a vintage van.......what have we done . Two plate lickers being well behaved while their owners enjoy some griddle cakes. Al & Delma....A great effort all the way from W'gong. dosse

Hi Dosse,
Thanks for sharing your special side trip to the Crows Nest Cemetary, and for the accompanying photo. No doubt it was an emotional moment standing by the final resting place of your great great grandparents. We personally feel that no matter what we have, or own, what we do or where we go, our family always comes first, nothings more important. Sometimes standing on the same ground our forefathers trod, visiting their home land, and reaching back to our roots, helps ground us in our every day lives. Underneath it all we all seem to want to know , where we came from, where we are, and where we're going.
Regards retro64

Hi guys,
Thanks cruisindoug, dosse and bobandjacqui for the pics. Looks like the cold miserable weather didn't dampen spirits too much, and another great weekend was had by those attending.
cheers retro64

Looks like you all had a good time . We were treated to the same weather at Brunswick Heads rod run. Doesn't really matter though when you have good company and you're in a nice part of the country. Lots of newbies out there . We are getting bigger and bigger, and it's all good. Cheers John and Dianne.

Big thank you to Bob and Jacqui for posting the great photos, it was damp but we still had a great time. Also to the Banno's for the usual Sunday morning treat of pancakes. We were 'ribbed' for not being in our Olympic, but you must agree our 'Toy van' is very comfortable (Expandavan). We think Jacqui could become one of the official photograhers for our w/e rallies. Cheers boblor

Hi All,
Thanks everyone we had another great trip and are looking forward to Tara. The kids loved the park and had fun hunting for yabbies and playing in and around the creek & playground. Here is a few snaps of the great hunt. Cheers, Tanya & Co.
