Hi everyone,
We had a wonderful weekend, and enjoyed catching up with people from last year, and making new friends this year. Thanks as well to those who organized the weekend, and from Maddy and Eue, a special smile for Santa. HIGHLIGHT OF THE WEEKEND- When Eue said to me "Why is that man making pancakes in his jox?." All l could think of was, " Ask your father".

Hello Everyone, Here is the Griddle Cake Recipe. Hope you enjoy. This is a single batch. I did 24 batches on Sunday morning. Cheers, Joey
Griddle Cakes
Ingredients: 1/2 cup milk 2 Tlbsp. melted butter 1 egg 1 cup all purpose four 2 tsp baking powder 2 Tblsp sugar 1/2 tsp salt
Directions: Put first three ingredients in mixing bowl and beat lightly. Sift together remaining ingredients. Add to the milk mixture all at once. Stir just enough to dampen the flour. Add more milk, if necessary, to make the batter as thick as heavy cream. Makes 6-8.
To cook: Test the griddle or frying pan for correct heat by sprinkling a few drops of water over it. They will "dance" when it is right. Heat the griddle or frying pan over moderate heat. Grease lightly with butter. Use a 1/4 cup measure to dip the batter onto the griddle or pan. Cook until the cakes are full of bubbles and the undersurface is nicely browned. Lift with a pancake turner or spatula and brown the other side. Serve immediately with plenty of butter and warm maple syrup. The Fannie Farmer books are about as American as you can get as they have been around for over 100 years and just keep getting updated and reprinted.

Hi All, Some pix. This van is an old S.A van, with canite roof & exposed timber curved beams. It has been reclad over the bondwood in the past, & is owned by Des & Kel. Part of the fun that is Canungra is the creek/swimming holes. We took a tractor tube this year Trevor & Julie rebuilt this Style-Line from a total wreck, with the side smashed in. Its pretty rare, & Trev found a Santa suit in it this year This old Chesney was in good condition Neat pair Magicangelisa’s Viscount Serious conversations at Jondi’s tent Andrew ( Smut 57) towed his Campbell Brothers ply van down from Chinchilla, after a hectic few weeks travelling. He’s been to Bright & Yamba ,& back to Chinchilla, in the last few weeks. Very rare brand of van. Ilse (Mrs Dosse) started the give away table, & its grown into a popular part of Saturday night The winning trivia team ( less me) And finally Santa having fun with his beautiful helpers Its all fun JBJ

Great pics JBJ, Magicangelisa and Bryden. Thanks.
There were some great vans there - some quite unusual ones - and people obviously enjoyed themselves. Congratulations on a great run.

Thanks for the photos folks.... looks like a great spot too what with the water hole and the bush setting. Looks a bit like you're parked in a paddock, do you all have power ?

The upper field has limited power (lots of piggy back plugs ) and the lower field down by the creek doesn't have power. Nice shady spot though.

Hi all, After the Saturday night dinner at Canungra, a couple of things were left behind that I ended up with. A tablecloth and a set of 3 plastic glasses (see photo). If either of these belong to you, please let me know and I can pass than back to you at the next event? Regards Di
