Hi all, being our first time out could someone please dot point all the activities such as the 60's table etc, Stephen&Julie Hi Stephen & Julie, Normally on our weekends away, we don't tend to have any set activities as everything is very relaxed and people tend to just go with the flow. Quite often some of us will go to the local pub or club for dinner on one night and perhaps have a campfire dinner or takeaway on the other night. The lovely addition of damper with golden syrup and butter etc etc has been enjoyed at most of the winter runs of late. It's a shame to just sit around a lovely roaring fire when the coals could also be put to good use ;D ;D The Sunday morning griddle cakes/pancakes that Joey and Banno and the boys make and cook has become something of a SEQ ritual that we all love and appreciate (we all make a monetary donation that goes to a charity). Many thanks to Joey, Banno and the boys. Having said all that Canungra is slightly different as it has delevoped into our Christmas Run and it has a great big undercover area and commercial kitchen. Therefore lends itself to a big Christmas Dinner and Get Together on the Saturday night with some general sillyness, Trivia and of course Ilsa's Giveaway Table. So having said all that, this is a sort of guildeline for the weekend, * Friday night - dinner wherever you want to have it, i.e. your van, someone else's van, round camp fire, pub, club, etc etc. Also damper cookoff (presumeably a bit later after everyone has had dinner)?? * Saturday day, do your own thing or hang around the park catching up with everyone. Can I please have a few male volunteers to meet Lyn and I at 2.00pm in the undercover area to set up all the tables and chairs - thanks. Would suggest from 3.30pm onwards that everyone places their freebies on the centre tables for Ilsa's giveaway. * Saturday night all those that have paid for dinner to meet in the undercover area at 5.00pm. Nibbles at 5.00pm, then dinner served at 6.00pm. If you wish to have lollies, chips or nuts for your table please bring them along also BYO drinks. Note: each table will be set up as a team for the trivia later on in the evening. So choose who you sit with wisely ;D ;D. Also if you want Santa to give a pressie to your child, don't forget to bring it with you and place it under the Christmas Tree. * Sunday morning, Griddle Cakes/Pancakes at Banno & Joey's van. Just look for the large crowd and you will work out which vans are Banno and Joey's. Hope that helps? Di

Hi guys. Got back from another great weekend at Canungra. Big thanks to all the organisers and helpers. The Saturday night meal was excellent and we all had a lot of laughs with the trivia game. It was good to meet new forum members and see a big variety of vans. Im sure there will be photos put on here soon. Just be prepared . We had to witness the "naked chef" . Some kids will be scarred for life . Ha Ha..... Thanks again . John ,Dianne and Shaina.

Hi All,
Another great SEQ weekend. We were receiving rain Friday lunchtime at home, & the weather forecast didnt look good. But we decided to give it a go, & the weather wasnt too bad.
I'll post some pix soon.
We had 88 people at our catered dinner, & 32 vintage vans. Not as many vans as last year, but still a good attendance. Nearly all I spoke to were harppy with how the Saturday night went.
The trivia was won by a bunch of young kids with one adult "helping". Thrashed all the older ones.
As was mentioned, it was a great laid back weekend, with a big number of new faces, & quite a few of the regulars unavailable for various reasons.

Thanks to everyone who organised or helped out, I had a great weekend as did everyone else I spoke to. The tucker on Sat night was great, even with the naked chef prancing about in his jocks. Pancakes were terrific too thanks Banno tribe. Kate hasn't stopped telling people she was Santa's helper so that was a big hit, thanks Di. I'll be back again next year too I reckon, as the venue's good, good people, good fun, and great feed with Santa and trivia's just too good to miss out on. I might sit on Banno's table though so I can look on the Internet to answer some of the trickier questions, or was that supposed to be a secret Banno?

Hi All Had a great w/e, as it was our first outing since Canungra last year with our van, it great to be on the road again. Saturday night dinner and carrying on was great with plenty of laughs. I suggest we stick to the catering as Karen and daughter did a great job and were well organised for the night. A big thank you to those who wished me well with my up and coming operation around mid December. I have positive attitude and will come out of this with clean bill of health, ---and be on the road next year to where ever. Cheers boblor

Hi Lisa. Just had the same probs with p/bucket - it seems they may have changed things around. Try this: 1. place pointer over selected pic and select "share" at the top of the window that pops up 2. When another window pops up, select the heading that says "get link code" and click 3. You will get another screen, look down to where it says "IMG for bulletin boards and forums" and left click in the box on the left of where it says "full size", which highlights that section in blue. Then right click over that blue bit and copy. 4. Go back to your VV thread and paste in the normal way
A painful change if it is permanent, as it adds too many extra steps to the process. By the way, don't hit the back button when you have finished with that pic, if you want to add more pics, just hit the X part of that popup and you will go back to your album.
Maybe someone else knows a quicker way around this.
Hope that helps. Ray

Hi all, Glad to hear everyones comments re the weekend. Gary and I certainly had a great time, but gee was I exhausted last night - I slept the sleep of the dead. It was lovely to catch up with all the new members as well as the regular members. ;D ;D It's like one big family and it's great catching up with everyone. Whilst some people stayed at the caravan park for the Damper cook off on the Friday night (which I hear was very good), 18 of us went to the local pub for dinner. A courtesy bus came and picked us all up and dropped us off again, so it was nice to be able to have a drink or two without worrying. Couldn't really hear what was going on up the other end of the table, but down our end we had alot of fun and frivolity ;D ;D ;D Many thanks to Santa, Santa's Driver and Santa's helpers, I think the kids had a great time. Many thanks to Lyn for organising the dinner on Saturday night, and to Ob for his organisation we thoroughly enjoyed it and I didn't hear any negative feedback about it. I think it would be a great idea to repeat it again next year rather than have just a handful of men and women preparing and cooking all the food over the camp fire to then feed around a 100 people. Many thanks to everyone who donated items for Ilsa's giveaway table, there were some great things. Everytime I look at the broken jockey wheel on my van, I will think of the jockey wheel you beat me to Boblor ;D ;D Many thanks to Banno, Joey and the boys for cooking the griddle cakes on Sunday morning as well as the steaks and sausages for those people still there on Sunday lunchtime. Banno mentioned to me that the donations at breakfast on Sunday morning totalled $165 and were donated to the McGrath Foundation today. Many thanks to Dosse and Ilsa for co-ordinating the booking at the park for all of us as well as the hall, table and chairs. And thanks to everyone that turned up at 2.00pm QLD time to help set all the tables and chairs up. Congratulations to the kids and JBJ for being the winning team in the Trivia. It was a close fought race with the 2nd team only loosing by one point By the way Andrew, you won't want to be on Banno's table next year, as even with the use of the internet they still didn't win. Kind regards Di P.S. Dear Moderators, to save confusion, perhaps it might be an idea to add this thread to the 12 page Canungra 2010 thread that we already have?

Hi Lisa & Ray,
Just had a little struggle myself with the old bucket & ended up reading their notes on improvements made & by trial and error I found that when on your album page move cursor over photo you want to select, go down drop down menu to IMG code & then hit the big mouse key (mine is a mac & only has one mouse button] so it maybe the right mouse button on a PC or could even be the left one.
You will note that this click provides the disappearance of the IMG code & a very quick "copied." You can then just paste onto your message. Seems to work so good luck. Glad you all enjoyed your weekend over in sunny QLD, and look froward to the photo's.
Cheers Jodel
