hi margaretsmum
that was a bit of an unfortunate error.
sorry to hear you can't make it, but there's still time to organise a driver to get you there.
see you one way or another.

Well I am quite chuffed about the `concern' being shown about my welfare. Also appreciate Grandma loaning her zimmer frame ;D but I guess I could borrow Cobbers electric scooter I can get around OK now but may need some help if we need to push the teardrop into place. Most pain is now from my shoulder but I have a bottle of `prescribed' medicine that should take care of that Ken

Hi Geoff & Jude,
From memory I think Ken's drink of choice is Bourbon. But you never know Gin might do the trick aswell ;D ;D ;D

Always seems that a mechanical problem pops up just before a run,but hope to have it all rectified by the end of the week. Have an XP that's all brakes (booster is applying brakes but wont let them off) and a caravan that has no brakes at all. Booster is off being rebuilt and should be back in car by thurs. Hope to see you all at Coledale by around 7pm friday. Looking forward to a few coldies.cheers all

Hi Don Can't help you with much info on that grey van other than I believe that it may be a new restoration from forum member Richard (Our Touring Past). Very tidy as are all his jobs.
Maybe someone more knowledgeable will chip in with more info.

Hi Koala, Thanks for that info. Of course!! It's Richard/Vantoura's Glen caravan which he has been working on for a while here. I knew it looked familiar, but I couldn't quite place it. Although the Glens were still being produced in the 40's and 50's, they still had that 30's style with the distinctive English style influence. It looks magnificent! Great job Vantoura!! Feel free to show us some more pics! Don Ricardo

Well well wasnt that an experience!! Sorry to those we didnt get around to seeing but that weather just wasnt being kind enough to be out and about in. I truley thought Matilda was going to end up rolling down the road, talk about having the shakes. Didnt get up to the party sorry on Sat, our girl was unwell with asthma so couldnt have her out in the cold. I certainly hope the sun shines on us next year. Sue thanks so much for the time and effort you put in for the kids, they loved it and it was nice to include them in it all. Thanks also for my lovely goodies from the auction....Didnt we do well!!! Missed out on the beach umbrella but alas it went to a good home. Look forward to seeing more pics as my camera wasnt working. Jules

Hi All, Well that's Coledale over for another year and it was great to catch up with everyone again though the weather was so awful it did slow the socialising down a fair bit. Hope no one was too battered by the crazy wind & it sounds like a lot of people were kept awake at night wondering if their vans would be in the same spot in the morning. Trodlers propert was blown sideways by about 6 inches and at times there seemed to be lots of annexes on the ground. We will just have to hope for better weather next year. We only had 38 vans this year, I think there were a few late drop outs due to the weather forecast. The auction was once again a great success and lots of fun. A huge thanks to all those who donated goodies and also to those who dug deep and bought all the items. We managed to raise $1771.25 in total ;D ;D ;D ;D. This was a combination of the wallaby fundraising, raffle money, cake stall, auction and pin sales. We had some VV stickers and calendars to raise money for the website, these sold like hot cakes, thanks to all who bought them. Last year we raised money for Breast Cancer for the mums, this year for Prostate Cancer for the dads, so how about we raise some money for Canteen next year for the kids. Just a few of the items donated for the auction. Special thanks to Maurie once again - our auctioneer extaordinaire. He even dressed for the occasion this year. Also to his helper Geoff - would you buy this item off this man? oh hang on he bought it himself Malcolm and Pauline, thank you for your generous donation of the billy cart for the raffle and for also selling the tickets - Kris was the lucky winner and her grandson will have no doubt have lots of fun with it. As well as the billy cart Malcolm and Pauline donated 6 jugs for the auction and raffle prizes and Pauline made yummy vanilla slices for the cake stall. Thanks to Sue for all the cups cakes and to all the kids who helped Sue ice them, they looked great and the cake stall was a huge success - all sold very quickly. There were many ideas thrown around for a dress up theme for this year, but due to the lousy weather not many managed to get to show off their outfits - except these two seen "Coming down the stairs". And of course from a VERY biased grandma a special welcome to our youngest attendee Elijah - he even has his own Sunliner. See you all next year Jude & Geoff
