How do all
Not every one attending the weekend has INTERNET access so pass the word about the cook up. Regardless, I am sure there will be more than enough to go round for every one, this includes you Rodney, so make sure you are there with your plate. By the look of it wood will not be a concern but if by chance we do run out there is plenty available down the road.
Regards
Pete

Thanks Neil
I am sure we will all appreciate your efforts in providing us once again with as much wood as you do. A warm fire to sit around and chat will be just the ticket.
regards Pete

G'day Daggsey You have come to the the right state.......if its money under the table you need. But we only do it with brown paper bags.......I think one of our premiers did it and our police Minister and our Transport Minister and health Minister and if you protested about it.....you would get free lodgings at Bogga Rd. Nearly for-got...... you will be very welcome Neurum Creek. dosse.

The weather gods aren't shining on us this time. I have left a message with neurum creek to let me know how things are but apparently it is pouring rain there with heavier predicted until Thursday at least. Here is hoping it clears up . Rod

Hi QLDers.. Was watching telly last night.. theres a 'orrible big black mass in the sky moving your way.,,,,,... No... not black swans from tha AAMI advert... Black, heavy, threatening rain clouds with at least 200mm of rain in their tanks. Forget the spuds and pumpkins .. ya gunna need whopping big tarps and raincoats. No grizzling now... its all part of camping and caravanning the traditional way. I am monitoring Neurum creek camping reserve incoming phone calls and will publicly shame anyone trying to book an onsite cabin as back up for this weekend. Seriuosly hope the forecasters get it wrong as usual. Have a great time. ;D Reddo

Hi Guys Just got back from a great time at Canton Beach in the deep south My rain gauge had 25 mm in it and counting (about 50kms from Neurum Ck). I seem to remember people getting rained in during the last lot of rains, so we will need to keep in touch with the proprietors about their creeks. The rains seem settled in and increasing, if anything, so Reddo's 200mm may yet be a correct prophecy. Ray

Hi all as of today the causeway was fine but predictions are for more rain. ( we all trust the weather men don't we?) I have to call them back Thursday to get an update but park management were hoping the weather eased Thursday afternoon. I'll post the info after I call them. Rod

Hi all, Just to throw a cat amongst the ducks , we are holed up at Esk...........great caravan park with huge undercover camp kitchen area......... If it becomes difficult to get to Neurum because of road conditions, maybe a late change to Esk might be an alternative......the Esk Show is on this weekend, which might also prove to be an attraction............ Just a suggestion as a back-up plan Daggsey

Hi all Have had to pull out of the weekend - not only because of the weather. Jack was bitten by another dog last Sunday monring, which became infected and needed vet attention and because of the open wound, needs to be kept clean and treated twice daily.
Daggsey, had I known you were in Esk, I would have popped in - drove thru there yesterday lunchtime. PM me if you want to visit.
Cheers

Weather predictions I saw tonight suggest the rain will extend into the weekend. I am keen to reschedule for a few weeks time if anyone else is thinking this way.
Rod.

Fine by me Rod, especially if the proprietors have given a 3 months' extension on bookings made for this weekend.

How do all I have been on the phone to John at Neurum Creek, he tells me the place looks great, drying out and as long as there is no sustainable rain over night our weekend is still on. There will be some minor changes to some sites due to the ground being soft, but, the main point is they are happy to accommodate all 22 vans booked in for the weekend. There is a chance we will have to spread out more than we were last year due to the numbers and the condition of the ground. John said he will keep us together but we will cover more ground. Vans not requiring mains power will be moved slightly around from the main site to accommodate everyone. If you do not depend on mains power, please let them know when you get there. I will be contacting John in the morning for an update on the conditions. You can either call me 0419733949 or check the forum because I will post an update as soon as I made the call.. The alternative is to kick this weekend in to touch and rebook. What do you want to do? Regards Pete

I got the answer machine this afternoon saying that the office was closed till tomorrow due to some flooding etc and offering the chance to rebook. My boss has been sick all week so tomorrow I'll be at work till late so with the possibility of rain etc still I am having to give this weekend a miss either way.
A possible date to clear Wintersun and other activities yet still give another 6 weeks to the 12th event could be 24 / 25 July. Will be cold but that is what a campfire and rum is for . Open for suggestions but unfortunately I have Farmfest the week before this date.

Unfortunately the boss will still be away on Friday so this one I'll have to miss. I'll round up a few people and go out there late July to give the van a run but with the teardrop going south on Friday I'll have a garage back so will use the weekend to sort things so I can start building the next tow car. Hope everyone has a good time. Rod G.
