Ours is a '58 Sunliner. When we acquired it many years ago I am pretty sure I remember the Sunliner Logo being on the back, centred below the windows. Memory is hazy, but maybe there was some colour in it. The logo is the same as that on the leaflets posted some time ago, see photo, but coloured differently perhaps, and not angled. Has anyone else seen the same, and have more details? Thanks, Franivy

Hi Franivy, There was a bit of a discussion about Sunliner decals and signage on the forum a month or so ago here. Interestingly nobody mentioned a sign like yours. From what you say, your sign is probably the original before they jazzed it up for the swinging 60's? Regarding colour, from the previous discussion it seems as if Sunliner stuck to pretty pale earthy tones for their signage - coffee, grey, that sort of thing. Either that, or the signs faded over time. But I reckon the colour on your leaflet may be pretty indicative. Others can probably tell you more. Don Ricardo

I have been talking to family members, who also remember the logo on the back of the sunliner. They remembered it below the left window. So, I went back to the photos taken in 2003, some years after we acquired it, and with a bit of fiddling with brightness and contrast, I reckon you can see the faint outline of the transfer. The logo was as in the leaflet, with the work "Sunliner" on an angle underneath it - "Not printing, but not really "joined-together writing" - I think maybe a similar font to what some later models had on the side.

Hi Trevorusa1 Good to hear about the progress with your Gracemur! Regarding signage, back in June 2011 Sue posted the following information about the signage on her Gracemur: "Sticker above the front window " GRACEMUR" and at the back [under number plate] was "GRACEMUR Manufactured in Bunderberg" I carefully lifted what was left of the sticker's so I could get them redone"If Sue hasn't done anything about reproducing the stickers yet, maybe the two of you could split the cost of getting them done? Just a suggestion. You may have already seen Sue's thread about her van, but if not you will find it here. Also, there are some pics of a Gracemur in its original livery and showing the signage on the back of the van on the Our Touring Past website here. Hope that info is of some help. We look forward to seeing some pics of your van at some stage. Don Ricardo

Hi Young Don ;D the logo at the top of this thread looks to be whats under the rear window of our Sunny. There isn't much left of it but the outlines are very much the same , will take a pick tomorrow and post it for you. Brian.

As I said yesterday Don this is what is left of the sticker below the rear left window and as you can make out it has the star through the centre of the sun Only this is a Forster NSW Sunliner. Does anyone have one of these on there vans or reproduced one Brian.

Just thought I'd finish off this thread with photos from our sunliner (Before Paint Job). Messing with the photo I was able to get a faint outline of the position and shape of the logo. I have been experfimenting - inexpertly! - using my son's memory, and colours - red, blue, or coffee. As there doesn't seem to be any evidence, I guess it won't really matter what colour scheme I choose, just have to bite the bullet and CHOOSE! thanks for everyone's interest. Frances

Thought I'd finish off my two bob's worth with photos of the decal we had made. It is as accurate is human memory can make it. Not quite like noblegarage's, but there you go. It is a water decal, and was made by RB CUSTOM DECALS at cmac.org.au/rbcustomdecals/index.htmall designing and business done online. Now, bracing myself to do the photobucket thing...... Looks small, but has the same dimensions as the outline remaining on the van before it was painted. If I had my druthers, would probably have it made a leetle bit bigger. Franivy
