G'day all, I am chasing the frame for the front of the van window (or the whole window doesn't matter - or even just a metre length of the same channel! The hinge is busted through on ours and rather than try to get it welded (it is corroded as well) if I can I would rather just replace it. It is rectangle shape with square bottom corners measuring 945mm long by 425mm high to the outside of the frame give or take a couple of mm. If any one has one they are willing to part with please PM me with the details. Don't worry about that scary looking dude he's harmless.... Cheers, Doug

Ah gees, Doug, we just sold the last one we had in stock yesterday. But we should be getting some more in next Thursday! I'd be looking at the option of repairing what you have. A decent welder/repairer could fix those crappy bits up and grind them smooth. Even if you had to shift the hinges along a bit to the more "sound" part of the frame, I reckon you'd get away with using what you've got. Aluminium is a pretty forgiving metal. You can wire brush it aggressively, and then polish it back to a smooth shiny surface. I did the aluminium edge cover strips on my van with a rotary wire brush in a drill. Really worked that wire brush hard, to get rid of all the corrosion spots. Then I polished them with steel wool... Same process with the windows which I dismantled into all their individual bits... Like all good things it takes time. And you'll need a new pair of sunglasses to cope with the glare once you've finished. cheers, Al.
