Thanks Firefighter, understand about price advice. Not sure of year. It caught my eye as I've been looking for something to tow behind my FC, but it looks a bit too modern for that. Shape's OK, but cladding looks too modern. David

G'day fc229, the Futura will be from the 1970s, and could be one of the early poptops when the design was resurrected after 30+ years of limbo (that Jennison fella was WAY too far ahead of his time ). I think Futura, or Betta, or someone else, was the first to get the poptop design back on the market in 1973, when the smaller four cylinder cars were becoming popular. cheers, Al.

G'day fc229 and Franklin1, What Franklin1 said about the Futura is basically correct. Futura's were built by Barnes Caravans in Westmead NSW in the early 70's. They - or a caravan of a very similar design built by Barnes - were also sold under the name of 'Duncan'. There is some further info about Barnes Caravans and the Futura model in the Down History Lane section here (see especially Reply #2). Fc229, given that the Futura was most likely built in the 70's (even if only just), you might like to post some info about it on the Classic Caravans Forum which focuses on vans built between 1 January 1970 and 31 December 1979. Good luck with the sale. Don Ricardo

thanks for the advice, will put it on the other web site as suggested, but I will add some dimensions and maybe a shot with a car, as I think it is hard to pick the scale from the picture attached.
