Is this a new competition Franklin1? I thought maybe you were asking us to: 1. Guess the make of the caravan. 2. Work out whether the photo was taken in Australia, or whether Kelloggs just used one of their stock photos from the USA? I've checked the photo against all the vans I can think of and have lucked out re the make. Looks like I'm not going to win the comp The placement of the door (on the left hand side) suggests an Australian rather than an American van, and besides the sides of the van aren't shiny enough to be used to signal ships at sea, so it can't be American... hi don you said: "The placement of the door (on the left hand side) suggests an Australian rather than an American van, and besides the sides of the van aren't shiny enough to be used to signal ships at sea, so it can't be American" i can't see any sign of the drawbar on the van and if little billie was running around the front corner of the van he would have tripped on it. this suggest to me that this is actually the back of the van which would mean the door is on the right hand side and is possibly american. just a thought. geoff 'n jude

Good thinking Geoff 'n Jude. I'm not sure why I assumed I was looking at the front of the van... probably only because I am used to the door being on the left hand side of the van. You are probably quite right. Don Ricardo

Nah, Don, it wasn't intended to be a competition. I just couldn't reconcile the colour of the van with anything I've seen in the vintage books (...which were mostly black & white ) I'm pretty upset after reading reddo's reply about the mini bedpans. It looks like the Mum (or is it 'Mom', or maybe 'Mother' if they are English actors) has tipped her bedpan over the guy's shirt. And since I only bought this advertisement for that shirt then I think I should get a refund! I don't think there is any relationship to America in this ad. Otherwise, Billy Boy would be called Billy-Bob-Joe Boy. But I think the defining item in this picture to prove it's local is the koala's bum just poking out of the gumtree above the opened window. And if you can't see it, come back between 8am and 9am tomorrow, because that's when he comes down to go to another tree. So all in all, Don, definitely a genuine Aussie location... Al.
