All This is my first post on this forum I have a 1960 Ford Zephyr Station wagon and have my eye on an early 1960's sunliner. It's has been sitting for 15 years and the owner is willing to sell but his kids (who have no interest in old cars or vans) want dad to restore it for their memories. I'm working on him. But back to the heading. our family holidays were all in a caravan, biggest trip was to FNQ from Canberra. great memories. Our family were in the Canberra Caravan club for many years and we attended the Dubbo national rally (i was about 8 years old) then a few years later we attended the national rally in Sheperton VIC probably about 1976. While we were in Sheperton dad found a Crusader he always wanted, so we purchased it and had it delivered to the show ground and swapped all our stuff from one van to the other. We had a Datsun 240C as our tow car The van with the annex was what we took to the rally , I cant remember what make it was but was a 6 birth with 2 sets of bunks at the back and the table made the double bed. This is the Crusader we purchased. any idea on the year of manufacture? Thank Bruce

G'day Bruce, and welcome to the forum! ;D The Crusader brand pops up on the forum from time to time, but being a van of New Zealand origin, it doesn't get the attention that local brands get. If you click on this link... new member crusader , it will take you to a thread on the forum where Crusaders are talked about. Down near the bottom of the thread there are some other links posted to other mentions of Crusader vans. I think we are pretty much in the dark about dating Crusader vans accurately, so my best guess about the photo you've posted is that it's from the mid or later 1960s. cheers, Al.
