Hey Sutcac,
Hope you are all ok, especially after breaking 3 of Barb's pots - I bet that cost you !!!!.
As for your injury and on such a small hill. Imagine what it will be like when you go down the hill at Coledale. I'm sure someone will end up with broken bones !!!!
Regards Di

Hi Reddo,
Yes and what a handicap. ;D ;D Mind you if a husband is a handicap - it appears as though alot of us women are handicapped !!!!!
JBJ. OK great - silly/funny hats.
That's a good idea and an easy one for everyone to organise in the next week or so.
Yes DJ (Caddy Daddy) all organised. I'll let him know about the silly hats aswell.
Regards Di

hi all
this is just to let you all know we have just officially made 50 vans for the weekend.
if that doesn't make for a good time and a good "collectors show" then nothing will.
the place is starting to get a bit crowded (better get up early for a shower) but the more the merrier.
geoff 'n jude
news flash - make that 51

Hi all, Well if you enjoy having your morning cuppa, sitting in the hot sun, besides the beach and watching the whales frolicking - then I suggest you hightail it down to Coledale or you will miss out. ;D ;D ;D That was the start to my morning yesterday and oh what a day. As Tickos has mentioned, they bought all 3 of their vans down yesterday and the Cole clan have also arrived along with a new (to them) annex for Doris, so we are starting to take over !!!!! Dinner last night was al fresco, on the beach - how romantic !! Unfortunately it's raining at present , but that is due to blow over tonight and sun is predicted for the upcoming days. Norm mentioned to me yesterday that he has taken another 5 or 6 bookings for the weekend, so we should number up in the mid to late 50's. Cruz - we have moved to one side of our site (1) , so there is room for you next to us. I've sent you a PM. See you soon Regards Di

Hi Guys, Just got back from 4 nights at Coledale.I arrived early Wednesday arvo. There were 7 vans already set up before me. We never cracked the magically 50 and the finally count was approx low 40s.The weather was great with the hottest day being Sunday.Plenty off dolphins and whales were to be seen from our van sites.I had 4 of us stay in the Fairland including my mum who was the oldest vv er at 77 years old stay for one night. She was even dissapointed the music stopped early on Saturday night. It was actually a slower type of weekend with less people visiting than previous years but the highlight of the weekend was the inaugural billy cart races from where I sat in my annex with a prime position and beer in my hand. The billy cart derby will definately be a major event next year with many people already designing their new carts in their mind after seeing splendid performances from Reddo Maurie and Sugarshack and other great performaces from Clyde Kingy and Cobber.I was amazed there were no broken bones with only a few lacerations considering the size of the mountain in the culdesac and the speed and interferance going on with the drivers.Looking forward to seeing plenty off hilarious action shots and thanks everyone for a great week.Cheers Dave

Hi Guys , After having a great weekend at Coledale its time to downsize to my Gyspy or Sunliner and sell my Fairland. But let me tell you my site spot at Coledale does not come with the van. I was considering having an extra spot for my mate but thought we were pushing for space so I canned bringing an extra van with all the extra people who were saying they were turning up . If ya gunna do a no show please contact someone so we can allocate that spot in future instead of cramming up Jarod offered via the forum his spot but he still showed up on the Friday night even though he could not bring his van in good vv spirit Jarrod look what happened with your vacant site. After the piece and tranquility you had last year it turned into a raging hot race track due to others doing a no show. This spot can never have a van there as this is what happened . Reddo went to the top of of the mountain to show us how its done for the Holden race team.Take a look there was no one even aware history was happening till the word got around Coledale van park that team Holden were a happening thing on the mountain Geoff from the Ford race camp watched on Anyway here are some photos of the day but I will be eagerly waiting for Humptys close up action shots from a decent camera as these photos are from an $93 kodak 8.2mp Anyway I know a few drivers will be feeling the pain this minute from yesterdays events as none off them backed up today. Cheers Chippy

It was a top weekend indeed, and I am looking forward to the photos as well ........ I hope there are some pics of certain cart manufacturers (and their machines), who blew their budgets on restoring their VVs' whilst apparently scrimping on their construction materials budget for their carts . spectacular results there!!!!!
