Hi All, I guess it is time to start getting organised again for Saturday night at Coledale. ;D ;D ;D Lynelle & I took a quick poll at Munmorah & everyone was happy to have Andy & Layla back to feed us all again. Lynelle checked out if the Surf Club was available & it is. I spoke to Norm through the week & he said they will have to charge us $200 for the use this year, that's half price so we can't complain, he also said we have about 48 vans booked in at the moment, so it works out about $4.00 per van. I guess IF the weather is good, we can do what we planned to do last year, & have it all outside on the grass, but knowing Coldale we need a plan B. I have spoken to Andy & unfortunately he will have to charge a bit more this year as everything is costing so much more, blame the drought, floods & petrol prices - sometimes I just wonder if it's not just an excuse to charge us all more at the checkout . Prices this year will be: Kids 5 & under $5.00 Kids 6 - 10 $10.00 Kids 11-15 $15.00 Adults $25.00 Same sort of stuff as last year, meats, veg, salads, pasta, bread rolls, desert, tea & coffee. If there are any strict vegetarians out there please let me know, as Andy will accommodate them. If you would like to book dinner please use this thread & indicate numbers & ages if kids are involved. The club is supposed to fit 100, we had about 96 last year, but Norm said it can stretch a bit. See you all soon at Coledale Jude & Geoff

hi geoff & jude.
It all sounds OK to me. We'll book 2 adults, with a possibility of some extras as it gets closer.
Everything gets dearer as time progresses.
Looking forward to another great night, but it will be quiet without Will & Lynns Karaoke Show ( & Reddos performance)

Hi Jude I would like to book 5 kids meals at $5.00 ea for 1 X 2 year old ,,,,,,,, Name "Reddo" After a week of my own camp cooking out on the trail i will be lookin' forward to sitting down to something that at least vaguely resembles home cooking. I couldnt fault last years spread , and as you say if the weather is good ( maybe 3rd time lucky) we can have an outdoor all night rage party in front of humptys van. ;D ;D ;D I heard Pete say that he and Denise would gladly do the washing and wiping up. Cobber has volunteered to do the garbage bins the next day. An Maurie has indicated that he will be running a paper run, child minding, dog walking service for the entire weekend starting each day at 4.00am Lemme see 48 vans with 1 dog and 2 kids each thats 96 kids and 48 dogs all down on the beach and enjoying early morning walkies with old uncle Maurie... I'd like to see that ;D ;D ;D Yep, yep yep... I love it when a plan comes together. Who knows i might even get my old red tin malleys esky back. Reddo.. 1 adult .. $25.00 thanks for the organising Jude & Lynelle

Hi Cliff & Ingrid,
Two more added, so far 25 of the 45 vans booked have said yes to the dinner, so far so good.
The caterers usually allow for about 10 extras only, so if you are interested we need to know in advance so you don't miss out.
Norm rang me at work the other morning & said another van had booked in & asked if they could bring a generator, this isn't usually allowed but as we have the whole park booked,Norm said OK. If anyone else wants to bring one it is also OK, as long as they aren't too noisy, the generators that is.
See you all soon, how many sleeps left Reddo???
Jude & Geoff

Let me start out by being blunt. Generators sux . Please consider 12 volts, ice, kerosene , gas , heat beads for cooking, inverters and solar power before you pack a generator for Coledale. If you are going to bring one please consider your neighbours and get your electrician to make you up a 2 kilometre extension lead. Thought for today: I lost an esky to some thief last year it was worth about 2 shillings and 6 pence. They will have no trouble walking off with a $500 generator. Thats all i have to say on the subject.

Reddo, Bloody good point on the disappearing esky. The Generators concern me though as that is one thing i enjoyed about Coledale--Quiet. I think i better go away now. don
