Forget generators its a vintage van weekend.Generators are like 1970s vans anyone can buy one.My fridge needs 240v to work but in know way will I bring my generator and disturb people with its constant noise. Ill use ice and 12v.Generators should be barred and who ever wants them let that person be there neighbour so they can listen to them. Its vv weekend and its once a year at Coledale and if ya need all flash stuff go and hang out with a Jayco group somewhere not Coledale. What are your thoughs boys ?

Hi All,
I dont believe generators should be allowed. In the quiet part of the night they can really be heard, but they arent very noticeable normally during the day with the normal background & road noise.
Maybe Norm can put a curfew on the one he has approved.
I know I have a powered site, but theres no way I'd use a generator on my Sunliner. Torches & Ice can carry you thru several days OK if really neccessary.

Ok , well that suggestion re generators got the reaction I expected & I must say I totally agree.
I just mentioned it cause Norm asked me to. If any do turn up we do need a curfew, cause as Bigdidda said the quiet is one of the nicest things about Coledale -"Ahhhh, the serenity".
Nice stab at being diplomatic Reddo, nearly worked ;D ;D ;D, think you said it for all of us

Hi Don, Yep, next to the dunnies does seem to be our "favoutite spot", for the VV weekend we are next to the men's & other times we go down for a couple of days , we seem to end up next to the ladies . Must admit it is very handy in the middle of the night & as I have a really poor sense of smell it's never a problem for me, & he himself is usually "fairly" alcohol assisted when he toddles of to bed so again no probs. Thanks for remembering the plate, very thoughtful of you & will be nice to complete the set. How is Greg (vdubnut)? Haven't seen him on line for ages, is he still coming to Coledale. See you soon Jude & Geoff

Dear Geoff and Jude Can we please come along to the dinner, two adults. We weren't going to join you as one of our children has severe egg and nut allergy, and it's all too risky, but the three children are going off site for the night which means that we can party party party with no kids
