Hey Tickos Reddo and Co will be there!!! You can pencil us in for a site. Powered sites . Geez i wander how many are gunna set up in Kerosene Alley this time??? Tempted to pack an extension lead and a few of lifes little luxuries.... BUT I WONT!!!! Reminder to all that intend going to Munmorah 14th May is Mothers Day. Better tell ya mums that she will be getting her flowers and prezzie late in the day. Also this weekend is only a week or two after we get home from Morgan. Munmorah is only 1/2hr from here. So that will be an easy one after doing nearly 3000K to S.A and back. Question: Do ya's want me to plot a cruise course for saturday lunch like we did at Coledale. Nothing too long , maybe an hour or so up through Swansea and around the edge of the lake for a while then back to Catherine Hill Bay Pub for lunch. ? Reddo

Isn't Mother's Day the first Sunday in May? That's why we went for the second weekend.
Ticko, do you want payment as well as a booking? If so, who do I make the cheque out to and where do I mail it?
Put us down for a powered site on Friday night, Saturday night and late departure Sunday. Is that two day's fees or three?
cheers

Hi everyone, Sorry about the timing, but if we left it much later we will be back at Coledale before we know it. Great picnic areas if anyone wants to invite visitors.
We do not need to pay deposits, we pay when we get there or sometime over the weekend, its very casual and layback weekend. All I need to know is who is joining us to book the sites.

Just google searched "mothers day australia" UUMMMMMM. I am confused. If mothers day is the first Sunday in May then why did we celebrate it on the 8/5/2005.( second weekend in May) The website i hit on says next years mothers day is sunday 14/5/2006. which is Munmorah weekend. Something else has been giving me a headache while i have been thinking. What happened to the april fools day run. Was this cancelled caus' it was to close to the morgan run?? Its over to you.......... Reddo I ain't no muver but i do know i get a flogging if i forget to buy something for mum and the missus on mothers Day.

We'll have to sort this one out.
Mothers Day is definitely not the weekend to hold an event on the Central Coast - have you ever seen the Mother's Day traffic on the way to Gosford?
cheers

Hi Belinda "Mothers Day trafffic in Gosford" . Sounds like every one in Gosford must take thier mums out for laps around the neighbourhood in the family wagon for mothers day . I think that by our stage in life most of our mums will understand that they have to take second place to our hobby for the weekend. Tell 'em to sleep in on sunday and then call in on them when we are heading home from Munmorah. Look on the bright side ... it gives us an extra day to buy a present and flowers too Mums that attend Munmorah will be treated to a special "Gourmet Chef Reddo Aussie Bush Tucker Vintage Caravan Camping Style Breakfast" ( Thats a mouthfull ....and so are my camping brekkys) ..... Yams , Witchetty grubs, French style snails , and whatever else we can pull out of hollow logs or burrows or pick up along the highway as fresh road kill Maybe cook up a nice home cooked meal for the mums on the two burner Ravia !!! Final thought. Mothers day traffic will not be any more difficult to handle than driving into Sydney on Australia Day over the coat hanger and around to the domain then back out of there late in the day. Blinker on .... count to three.... and change lane while listening for the digruntled horn blower. Reddo

Hi Mr FJ's personal assistant.
If your boss wants water front he may have to order rain leading upto (and definately not ON) the weekend of our journey. Bring your own Koala's. Your precious vehicle can be secured by Humpty 2's dog. There may be a fee involved in this. Please contact Humpty2. As for the couch, papers and food please supply a fully qualified Chef for all of us (NOT by the name of REDDO). Tennis can be organised, The size of your site can be organised but it may be green or brown, no colour guarantees supplied. First in best dressed.
I have ordered the moonlight and the sunshine.
see ya!!!!

Hi, We would like to come up on the Saturday and Stay Sat night and go home on Sunday, so could we reserve a spot for that night. It will be great to come and have a look at all the vans as we missed the Coledale run. If we dont find a Caravan by then however we will be sleeping in a vintage TENT from the 70's, so we will sorta fit in ;D. Thankyou, Ian and Lisa.

Hey Tickos.
I have had a google searched the park and come up with " Koala Park, Munmorah power station , scenic drive , san remo " i then had a look at the Central coast street directory. Sydney drivers would take the "East lake maquarie tourist drive exit" ...look for the big brown sign. Exit left up the ramp and head towards Swansea on the old pacific hwy. Take the second exit off to the right which is scenic drive leading into San Remo and on towards Budgewoi. i can see in the directory "Munmorah state mine and Power station" turn offs are on the left ... where do we turn into the park???
Cheers

Thanks Reddo, On Scenic Drive you will see a White stone wall with "DELTA" Munmorah power Station" written on it, turn left at this. about 50 metres in, there is small road off to the right with an open area and building and a narrow gate, go through the gate into Koala Park. ;D ;D Sorry you have not heard from me lately, life has been hectic. Humpty contacted me a couple months ago and mentioned we may have another 5 vans that he knows of that may join us, so the numbers should be a few more than shown on the site. I mentioned to the central coast car club that we would be there on that weekend so it will be interesting to see if we have visitors call in in to see us. Looking forward to seeing those we met at coledale and a few more. Plenty of room for a few more V V Ticko's

Hi All The dust has settled from the Morgan trip. ;D "Matilda" has been soakin her feet in a foot spa full of radox and sharing a few quiet moments with Tom turbo toyota as they reflect on the past week ;D. I joined in the discussion and asked if tom would like to cool his heels and let "Fast Eddie EK " take the lovely Matilda away to Munmorah for a weekend of fun and merryment . Tom is suffering from a minor stroke in the auto box and said that he dont think he could stand another Vintage Van party .... weeeeellll.........at least not until the swelling of his Bridgestone 10R15s has subsided. He has been pickin Broken Hill bugs outta his respitory system and also still suffers from sea sickness due to the number of rides he had on the Morgan ferry , I detected a few minor cramps in his suspenders as well. So the decison is made. Eddie and Matilda are counting down the days and both have said that they are keen to meet other cars and vans of the same age at Munmorah ........ I asked if "love was in the air" and they said "Lets have no mention of that sorta stuff" We might be gettin hitched up together but we certain aren't getting married . Dunno about that folks ... i caught Matilda packin' a set of sexy lace curtains in the cupboard and Eddie was caught towbarring up. ;D ;D How many sleeps 'Bout 21 i think. YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYyyyeeeeeeeeeee.... Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Hmmmmmm .....better behave ourselves the Hunter Antique Touring Society are comin' ...... ..........EEEEEKKKKK!!!! they will be bringing sunliners.... Curse and vomit Callin' all Bondys, Callin' all Bondys ... S.O.S... Help, Help, Help Gotta go and start packin" See yas Reddo

Hi All Its Anzac day and i have been told i am not allowed to go to the pub before 3 pm so i suggested to trish we take a drive down to Koala Park for a look-see . Its not a very big park but there is plenty of room for our group. Nice grassy sites. I got yarnin with the Power station caretaker and he keeps a mock up train made out of a large ride on mower on site. He said that he hooks 4 carriages on the back and takes everyone ( up to 20 ppl at a time) for a run around the site. I think he mentioned something like $2.50 a head. Gotta be happy with that. Perhaps i can add engine driver to my River masters ticket i got at Morgan Other activities? ?. There is 2 tennis courts???. I reckon we could organise a run up to either the Catherine Hill Bay Pub or the Orana Pub at Swansea on Saturday arvo. I know that Catho has counter lunches but it can get a bit crowded there on weekends with parking being a bit of a problem too. Orana has plenty of room for our cars and us. I will check and see whether they do lunches. The other option is to head in towards the entrance but it also gets busy on weekends. I asked about open campfires and the Park Caretaker has a few drums that we can warm our butts around of a night,Firewood shouldnt be a problem either , we are right on the edge of the bush...... bring your torches kiddies we can go possum spotlighting. Good ammenites - showers and toilets look clean and tidy. All that will change after i have had a few days of csamp cooking ...... pppppphhhhhheeeewwww! So... There ya go. Its all good Brudders.
