Arthur and Pat Pullin both turned 103 recently and now have 206 years between them and still going strong.. What an amazing couple and happily married for 71 years.. Here’s an article from Lionel Mussell’s online caravanning magazine www.caravanning-oz.com/Arthur%20and%20Pat.htmlMaybe they could have their own listing in “Down History Lane” Jim

G’day Bob
No, I haven’t met Lionel even though he lives not too far from my place.. but I’ve read his columns in magazines and his online writings for such a long time that I feel I know him.
I can well imagine he was on the committee that collated lists of ‘Murphy’s Sayings’..
I have a list of Murphy’s quotes hanging in the passageway at home - it’s extremely difficult to pick just one from the hundred or so quotes, but the classic is surely: “Whatever can go wrong, will go wrong”
And one should always keep in mind.. “Never play leapfrog with a unicorn”
Mark..
Lovely picture of Pat - 50 years.. jeez.. 1958 - it seems like yesterday..
I’m familiar with the Vangaurd in the picture Mark, but which of their vans is the one in that picture you posted above?

You're right of course Bob.. The van is Joker11.
In a senior's moment I was confusing Joker1 and Joker11 - and I too would like to know what happened to Arthur's first van..

Ok Folks My second attempt.... Did take a photo earlier, but I was so overcome with excitement that the picture turned out a blurr... Then I didn't make it to Blairgowrie the following weekend. and like all good males I promptly forgot about it last weekend. ;D ;D Thanks Mark for the real subtle reminder.... ;D ;D The largish box on the draw bar is the battery box that Arthur built for it. It has been the subject of some graffiti by its new owners.. Between the rear bumper and the wall of the van is a container Arthur added later, to carry the poles for his Role out awning and walls They were not looking so I went snap The caravan was built in 1999 to Arthur and Pat's specifications. Trevor and Pat have now owned it for several years and still get asked by members of the caravan club "How is Arthur's van" bobt

Amazing that Arthur’s Joker 11 and Joker 111 are both for sale at the same time! Hi All, I went and had a look at this van on Saturday, intending to pay for it and bring it home. After viewing I walked away very disappointed without making an offer. It's a long wat from beyond saving but it's a fair project now, anyone interested in my observations would be welcome to discuss bondwood58@live.com.au John

Sad. But it does explain the price it sold for at Auction This has been eating away at me for nearly 12 months as I certainly wanted the van...so, I bought it anyway! It’s coming home to Mirboo North, 20 minutes from its original home in Korumburra

G'day Yellowuki, Great to see you posting on the forum again. Your post has got me intrigued. Have you purchased Joker II or Joker III? I wasn't sure from your post. Hughdeany was telling me last night that someone had got hold of Joker II, so I'm wondering if it's you? Great if that's the case. Don Ricardo

Don Ricardo Hi there, Yep, I have taken the plunge and bought Joker 2. It was 12 months ago that I looked at it and decided no, but finally bit the bullet. Unfortunately it has been let go somewhat, but nothing that can’t be fixed with time and patience. It’s far too special to see someone end up murdering with black and white floor tiles and the like!
