Hi Rod, Interesting to see the photos of the dolly wheel from your Gumtree advert. There is actually a whole thread on the Jones Dolly Wheel which you’ll find by clicking here. The dolly wheel on the caravan in your advert seems to be slightly different in its construction to the ones shown in the thread I’ve pointed you to, and I’m not sure whether you’re saying you haven’t come across a Jones Dolly Wheel before, or that yours is slightly different to some others? Perhaps you can tell us what you were meaning. Incidentally there is a 1958 advert for a Country Club caravan like yours with what looks to be a similarly constructed dolly wheel here. Don Ricardo

It looks almost the same as the 62 jennison I just bought it it stretched out as I have a battery area at the back of the wheel. The three I have are all different as they are custom made for each van cheers chris

Thanks geoff for posting the photos of robyns dolly ( not that there is any thing wrong with a man owning a dolly)I towed it from melb to broken hill and back the biggest problem was the tyres I thought using aircraft tyres that had a 210 mph speed rating they would be better than the wheel barrow type that had a 80 kph rating but because they are 12 ply and there's only 50kg on them they are like a rock and transmitted every bump into the car im going change the tyres and try it again ....brenten

Hi Peter, pretty sure you would have to fabricate them yourself. SGTL

G'day Cobber buddy mate, I got what Brenten's got, looks to be pretty much the same what I can see in the pics, hope to pick it up Sunday, will try and get a pic up for you chief.
Cobber I restored a set of Hutchinson Dolly Wheels some years ago,and I still have them! Mine don't have the level ride just wondering can it be dated by the patent number? The patent plate is blue! I think they may be an early made set.
