Hey guys! So my partner & I purchased an old 15 foot caravan early last year from Bells Beach, Victoria. We are having trouble identifying her! We found the original invoice dating back to 1972 in one of the kitchen drawers, but we think it could be older.. we have had people comment saying that it's a Viscount, some say its a Millard.. The invoice says it was purchased from Glenlee Caravans in Traralgon. 15x8 5 Berth Glenlee Caravan chassis no. G570. Does anyone have any idea what make/model and year it was made? I have done as much research as possible on Google, Facebook etc. I've read on a few of the threads on this forum that Glenlee Caravans used to restamp their brand on other model caravans, is this true? And did they also make their own vans? Any help would be awesome! We have just commenced a bit of a renovation, we discovered a fair bit of water damage throughout the old girl, nothing we can't fix though! Hope these photos help too! Hi beesknees88, Glenlee did re badge some other makes, but yours isn’t one of them. Yours was made by/ for Glenlee. The outside is a copy of the Newlands shape, but the inside is pure Glenlee. Everyone I’ve ever seen has had major water damage! There is one the same for sale on Gumtree I think that has had house furniture fitted in place of lightweight furniture. Cheers hughdeany

G’day hughdeany
Thank you so much for that, awesome to learn something about it! It’s been doing my head in not knowing much when people ask what sort of caravan we have.. We always anticipated water damage but not to the extent that we have discovered. Ahh well.. We are looking forward to the challenge to getting her back on her feet and better than ever! Cheers again mate Beesknees88

Hi Beesknees88,
Great to see your van and to read Hughdeany’s comments. I think this may be the first Glenlee - as opposed to a brand engineered one - we’ve seen on the forum. I would be interested to know if Hughdeany can give us an approximate date for your van?
I’ve enabled your photos to display directly in your post to make them easier to view. Hope that’s OK?

Hi Danimaree777, I see you've already had a response from Hughdeany on another thread. Hughdeany is the best person to date your Coronet. I suggested on Facebook that it was early 70's, but Hughdeany will be able to give you a much firmer answer. We need to see some photos to date your van though. The easiest way to do that is to use the 'Add Attachment' button in the 'Create Post' window. You can see how to do that by clicking on this link. However, just note that because you are posting via your mobile, there is an extra step you need to take to make the button appear on your phone. If you read through the link, you'll see what you need to do. Yell out if you have any problems and we'll help. One option is for you to email some photos to me at caravanhistory@gmail.com and I'll post them for you. Don Ricardo
