OK, I'll get this thread rolling. Could also include first aid & other kits essential for caravanning life. Fire extinguishers I hear you say? Possibly they deserve their own thread.

Brexton picnic hampers uniquely capture the picnic pleasures of a by-gone era. They are elegant and sturdy – constructed of nothing but the highest quality materials – and very vintage. They were manufactured by a company called Brookes and Sexton under the trade name of Brexton in the United Kingdom in the early 1950′s.
Brexton picnic hampers come with two, four, six or eight cups, saucers and plates. They also include the appropriate number of forks, knives and spoons. Nested beakers, thermos flasks, topped glass bottles and metal food boxes are some of the variety of additional items that can also be found in a Brexton picnic set.
Everything is carefully organized inside of the hampers and is very easy to find. Each item has a specific place and is perfectly fitted to the insides of the hamper.
The hampers are rectangular in shape, much like a small suitcase, with their lids opening upward and all of the contents found strapped in on the inside of the lid and the lower portion of the case. They are made out of wicker or a solid material called Rexine. Rexine is a strong, coated cloth and looks like an imitation leather.
Brexton hampers were such a distinctive product that they were sometimes created to commemorate special events. There was a special set created to memorialize the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. This set was made out of red rexine and the buttons on the straps holding the plates are stamped “Elizabeth, 1953″.
There were other manufacturers of picnic hampers in the United Kingdom during the same time period but the Brextons are the most frequently found.

"Sirram" is the same origin
Brexton was the trade name of a company, Brookes & Sexton which first produced their own picnic sets using Bandalasta products in 1932. The company also produced sets under the name Sirram. Brookes and Sexton was absorbed by the Antler travel luggage company, as the Harrison Sheldon Group in 1962, relocating from Birmingham to Manchester at that time.

Gday P/T.`52 Morgan.Pretty rare & pricey.30K? Hope when you get a caravan you`ll buy a tow car & not use the Mog. Excellent picnic basket collection btw.
Post by Picnictragic on 26 July 2015:
Thanks DC3Td, Morgan was acquired from Camden NSW, hadn't moved in 43 years. Ground up restoration in progress, we're about half way thru. Thinking of making a teardrop type trailer/camper for the mog.

Great collection PT. Now I don't feel so alone
Although I have moved the majority of my sets out of the house & into a caravan awaiting restoration. They did somewhat fill up the pantry!
Here is a beautiful Sirram set I picked up awhile ago. it arrived with several smashed pieces including inside of one thermos. Luckily have picked up some patterns the same & pulled the interior out of a rusty thermos.

Post by Picnictragic on 26 July 2015:
Lovely set, there is something so special about these old sets, especially the ones where the Thermos's match the case. I'm trying to talk my husband into going for a trip to the UK. Think there might be a container coming back with us.
