Tackled the waterworks today, of course there was a hole in the tank! Mr SGTL was in a hurry to be somewhere else so he plugged it with a stick & a rag for me so I could keep playing!
Next on to the galley pump, well of course that didn't work either & you cannot actually see where it connects to the bottom tank nor where it goes into the inside tank. Undid the top pipe on it & tried priming with little success. Felt like the washers were dried out & letting the water back down. Thought- 'I'm going to have to remove the whole thing & pull it apart' grrrrrrrr. Went away & did other things, came back & lo & behold it worked! Just had to let the washers soak up some moisture. They must be leather as rubber would have disintegrated.
Now to work out how many pumps to fill it??
note added June 2017 Internal tank now leaks from rust in bottom of it. Not sure how to fix that

I may live to regret this, but I am thinking of selling this van if anyone is interested. Will come with original annexe & poles & new awning. Does have a few water supply problems but will try & rectify before listing.

The beautiful 'Rita Eileen' is on the market. Fully restored, electric brakes, custom awning & Hutchinson dolly wheel. Gas stove, picnic table, numerous bedding items, cutlery & crockery included. Current Victorian registration.
$11000 but am very negotiable as I need the shed space.
