Members may have noticed a couple of changes in our Technical section during the past few days.
Forum member Franklin1 (Al) has taken on the job of moderating our technical section. Al regularly contributes technical advise, and has put his hand up to moderate and re-organise the technical section.
Franklin1 (Al) will not be a general forum moderator, but a moderator as is Don Ricardo for our Down History Lane section.
Thanks Al for volunteering, I'm confident we will see some worthy changes in the all important Technical Section of our forum,
Mark

Hi Al,
Thanks for putting your hand up to organise the Technical Section.
I'm sure at times, you may find it a thankless task, but equally you will have a great sense of satisfaction of a job well done. As no doubt, with you being a man of such techincal know how - it can only be a job well done !!!!
I'm sure we will all benefit - thanks.
All the best Di

Thanks for your comments, folks. I recently put forward a proposal to Admin about some changes to the Techo Section, and volunteered to be the person (maybe the "silly person"?) who would look after just that section. In the ten years that this forum has been operating, it is very unlikely that a question hasn't been asked before, and I do know that a number of the long-term members have given up answering questions that they've already answered countless times in the past. We know all the answers are on the forum "somewhere", but I've often thought it would be really helpful if all that information was easily available to people who are searching for answers to help get their project moving forward. In some ways, you could say this is my contribution to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the forum (on 26th July). The traditional symbols for the tenth anniversary are tin and aluminium (why not bondwood or fibreglass, I hear you ask? ), so I'm hoping to create a real can of worms in the Techo section (ok, just kidding). Don't expect any great miracles in the near future. With the search function on this forum kaput at the moment, it's going to be a long slog to get the section as useful as the DHL section currently is. cheers, Al.

Well done Al,
cant think of a person on here who could do the job as well as you.
Hope this does not slow down the caravan restoration too much.
Leigh.
