Hi all
I recently purchased a vintage caravan to renovate to use again to travel around Victoria. I have replaced the wheels and it has been rewired but I know very little about the chassis and brakes on caravans and according to the tyre company that changed the wheels the chassis was very soft underneath and the brakes are rusty and non existent. It would appear that the underside is very rusty and will need replacing completely. I don't mind doing this and can manage a reasonable level of DIY but I don't know where to start and need some direction! The van is a Travelhome Deluxe built around 1975 and I believe is about 15ft. Obviously I am mindful of keeping costs down if that's at all possible.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
Paul

G'day paulvintage, and welcome to this forum! Your best bet is to switch over to our sister forum for Classic Caravans built in the 1970s. We have a number of members with Travelhome vans on that forum, so I'm sure you'll find the help you need. cheers, Al.
