Hi all. We just bought an old van for us to do up and have been trying to work out what it is. The guy we bought it from didn't know and the guy he bought it from didn't care. We've been scoring the internet trying to find one the same but can only find similar. We've looked at Viscount, Franklin, Avondale, Millard and lots we've never heard of before but can't fine anything that looks the same. It's 20ft and has C315 welded into the drawbar. We don't know what year it is and is probably too young for this thread. If anyone knows what the van is could you please tell us. We need to know and it's driving us nuts!

Sorry, I can't tell you what make/model it is. But I'm sure someone who can will be along soon. It looks very, very 60's to me!

Hi kaka tar, Your van is a Casavilla from the seventies that has been painted silver . They were a strong van made in Kilsyth in Victoria, they usually had a framed on the interior ceiling beams that gave them a "cottage" look. Most also did not have roof hatches, just one or two Electrolux round vents in the roof. Hope this helps you a bit. Cheers Hughdeani

It may be worth pointing out our van has a timber frame. Not sure if it's important, just thought I'd throw it in there.

Casavilla, Canterbury Rd., Kilsyth, VIC.
In 1975 they were described as "A new company to Australia that specialises in Spanish decor and features. Units built to customer specs and inspection during construction is encouraged. Sales outlet through Market Caravans, Croydon, Vic."
Obviously with chassis number C315 you have an early model, which probably means around 1974. The fact your van has wind-out windows means it is from 1973 or later.
cheers, Al.

WOW, thanks for the info Al, fantastic. Does anyone actually have one of these vans? Would love to see an interior, mine doesn't have one.
